Thick and Curly hair - help

MN I need your help.

I have thick (and sometimes unruly) curly hair. I do often straighten it though.
My hair/head gets so hot in this weather and have wondered about an undercut?
I would like something that looks 'cool' I'm a 36 year old mum, and work in a classroom full of 4/5 year olds. So can't go too radical.

Has anyone got any ideas? Do I need to add photos?

Thanks!

Google short curly pixie cut! I love it

Not sure about an undercut but like the short curly pixie cut (Googled as per PP suggested)

You could get some of the weight taken out by your hairdresser, using thinning scissors.
I have similar hair and it's always such a relief after I've had it done. I have some longer layers cut in too. Shorter layers don't work with my curl pattern.
