Interview outfit - not formal

What would you wear for an interview for a voluntary position in a local charity?

I've only been to interviews in the past for professional roles ie suit. Having been a SAHM my wardrobe is pretty much jeans/t-shirts these days - I'm guessing I need to be a bit smarter, but what ???

It might depend on what you are volunteering to do. I would dress for the activity (if you know). Otherwise smart casual... jeans and a shirt or smart chinos and a T etc.
Good luck

I would go for smart black jeans with a nice shirt (maybe something floral) and brogues. Good luck!

I would still go fairly smart.

I work in the charity sector and people can wear anything - our Director turns up in jeans and a hoody but if I am interviewing I expect people to turn up smart - it doesn't need to be a suit - trousers and a blouse and cardigan or a jersey jacket counts as smart in the charity sector.
