Ring to go alongside wedding band

My husband would like to buy me a ring with a stone. We didn't go for an engagement ring, so I'd like something to go alongside my plain, rose gold wedding band. What kind of designs would work without having to alter my wedding band?
I quite like older style rings, and am not keen on a large stone. Pictures would be helpful as we may end up getting one made.

You might struggle to get a good match for the rose gold with antique rings if your ring is relatively new. Often antique rose gold is less pink and more red/coppery in color. A white gold would look good next to the ring... there are loads of pretty antique rings on eBay which are incredibly reasonable. Higher settings like a trilogy often sit well next to other rings:

Yes I like that one too. And it would sit nicely next to a wedding ring. Only thing is, doesn't white gold need re-coating?

(The plain band next to mine is 70 year old rose gold if that gives any indication of older colouring?)

I'm hoping I can get one made by the same jeweler who made our wedding rings. I was just stuck for inspiration, so this has been very helpful
