Funeral outfit help please

I’ve got a family funeral in a couple of weeks and need to get something smart to wear. I’m a casual dresser, mainly buying clothes online - Boden, Joules, White Company so the thought of looking for a dress I store fills me with dread. The dress code isn’t formal black so other than not too holiday/summery I don’t know where I should even start.
I’ve not been to a funeral in the last 10 years so not sure what people usually wear.
I’m late 40s, size 8/10 , 5’6”” and short waisted. Help please

Do you have a budget in mind?

What about something like this

That M&S dress is nice, but I wonder if it might be a bit hot, depending on the weather. This is lovely, and an excellent price in the sale. It's petrol coloured, but plain and darkish. Sleeveless though, would that be an issue? www.johnlewis.com/jigsaw-jersey-shift-dress-petrol/p4135113

I'm sorry for your loss. Flowers

Thank you for your suggestions. I have never walked into Jigsaw before but the town I’m going to has a store so I’ll take a look as I love the fact it’s petrol. I’d already browsed Next online and had spotted that Emma Wills dress when I was trying to find an outfit for very tall dd (16). I thought it would only look good on someone tall & willowy.
There’s also an M&S so I’ll see if they have the black dress in stock but as PP said the fabric may be too thick if it’s a hot day

The whistles paige dress in navy might work? It can be dressed formally with serious shoes but also more casual so you can wear it again with espadrilles or something?

I went to a funeral last year. I wore an M&S suit jacket with a skirt to match (black), and a black ribbed top under it.

You don’t have to wear black. People also wear navy or dark grey.

Anything will do as long as it’s appropriate in tone. Dress/jacket, dress/cardigan, suit, trousers/jumper, etc.

There was a very recent thread on here about this and lots of good ideas. But obviously I can't find it! Most people just wear something 'respectful ' I think. Dress and jacket or cardigan would be fine. Boden does next day delivery and they have black and navy dresses in the sale. I wore a dark grey knitted dress to one and black trousers and cardigan with a printed silk top to my dad's. But for my mum I wore my favourite summer dress
