Aargh. I bloody hate those stalkery shopping emails, but when they're worded like this they are utterly enraging:

"We saw you sneaking a peek - can't stop thinking about it? Buy it."

I was not "sneaking" anything, I was looking for a pair of shoes. Which I didn't find because you didn't have DD's size, as it happens.

I'm not sitting here on my sofa thinking about sneaking peeks at your bloody website and slavering over a pair of £10 crappy canvas shoes. Get over yourselves.

booking.com are a nightmare - really harrassy, aggressive online experience from start to finish. I avoid them now.

There really needs to be a cross-business exchange where the company with which an individual eventually purchases an item can then send annoying pop ups to the marketing teams of all the other companies the individual searched.

And the stalkery 'you haven't opened our emails lately, we're sad' messages from lists you're subscribed to. I always unsubscribe immediately when I get one of those and tell them that the creepy tracking pixels are the reason.

Spinster - really? Eeew. They plumb new depths every day. Why can't they just stick with genuine big fat money off / proper free stuff deals that are actually worth opening and be done with it?

Agreed. I was so glad when Virgin Trains lost their franchise on one train line I had to use for work as their "Howdly doodly neighbourino!" style emails when you bought a ticket were so fucking irritating.
