Phillips Lumea- what am I doing wrong?

So after you all saying how it was life changing and it being on offer on the Phillips website I bought one! It arrived super fast so I immediately got it out and started using it.

But I must be holding it wrong or something. I can’t get it to say it’s ready to flash on every area of my legs. I’ve missed out huge chunks of the front of my lower legs.

I did fake tan them two days ago but I’m ghostly white to start off with and it was only the dove natural tan. Could this influence it? Do I need to change my positioning or angle to get better contact?

Yeah I nearly had mine boxed back up to send back as faulty until I realised I hadn’t got the angle quite right. You almost have to have a seal. My shins are hard to do and I have to hold the unit vertically rather than horizontally. Also I’ve got hairy knees and smooth legs after 5 treatments because I just can’t get it to work properly there. But I can cope with dealing with knee hair now and again.

It does say all traces of fake tan should be removed before using the Lumea by the way.

You need to press down hard, slightly adjust the position if needed. Also, don't use it with fake tan.

I find I have to wiggle it sometimes, especially in bony areas like knees and shins, to get the light to come on.

Thanks I’m glad it’s something relatively simple to resolve. It was mainly along my shin I couldn’t get it to work.
Tan should be washed off by the next go.
