Red shoes, what colour pedicure?

What colour pedicure should I get for red strappy shoes? I love red toenails, but worried that is overkill? My fingers will probably be French (ombré not 90s stark line) This is for a reet posh do!

What colour is your dress? Maybe silver toes? They would probably go with shoes and dress?

Myfoolishboatisleaning · 18/07/2019 02:15

Pale blue. I like silver, but I am very pale so worry I would look like a corpse!

Clear

Myfoolishboatisleaning · 18/07/2019 02:27

I can’t do clear!! I haven’t had invisible nails since I was 13!

Dark grey maybe?

GlamGiraffe · 18/07/2019 03:16

Can you take a pic of your feet? It depends massively on your skin tone. I have (literally) fluorescent pink toenail at the moment ad am wary every colour o shoe o have with them If yours look really good anyway ad suit you it's not a problem.

MissLadyM · 18/07/2019 03:22

I'd go for a dark red

Charleymouse · 18/07/2019 03:26

Teal. Just had this colour with red satin sandals. Dress was teal and red flowers though so was coordinated.

Or try a shade darker blue than your dress so your toes don't look like you have cyanosis.

Take your dress with you and use the nail swatches to get a complimentary colour.

Teal, grass green
Silver is too easy Grin

Myfoolishboatisleaning · 18/07/2019 05:03

I am quite tanned at the moment, but still am not liking the pale/nude nails. I want red. Would that look really dated with red shoes? And would it then be ok with neutral fingernails?

Barry M ‘Bronze Bae’. Super flattering and a bit more unusual and summery than silver

QueenOfIce · 18/07/2019 06:39

Go for a red perhaps darker than your shoes or an orange toned red.

MemorylikeDory · 18/07/2019 07:55

I'd say red OP. And as long as you don't walk around holding your hand next to your foot no one will notice they're different, not that it matters.

BlueMerchant · 18/07/2019 08:02

I'd go antique gold/ bronze or if you really want a red I'd go a rouge noir type shade as others have said.

Myfoolishboatisleaning · 18/07/2019 08:17

😂 Dory true! Just worried I am still in the 90s like my daughter says! (Although we would have never matched our fingers and toes! Only old ladies did that!)

How about a dark blue/navy blue? Always looks good with red and will also tie in with your dress.

fancynancyclancy · 18/07/2019 10:07

Rouge noir style shade

Ninkaninus · 18/07/2019 10:18

Red is best, I think.

I would probably go a darker shade than the shoes. Dark toes always look more classy and elegant IMO. But you could also match it exactly, I don’t think that would be overkill.
