Bikini help - I’m in my 40s and have never worn one

I’m considering buying a bikini or tankini. I’ve never worn either because I’m too fat.

I’m going on holiday to Sardinia and only have one swimsuit which is just a thick plain black one I’ve had ages.

I was looking at high waisted swimwear and wondering if I could get away with a bikini or tankini but not sure what to get.

I’m very apple shape though and a 14/16 with no waist and flabby overhang.

What are the best high waisted bikini bottoms - M&S ones any good? What sort of bikini top or tankini top is best? My bra is 36C.

Any suggestions welcome.

I'd recommend you go to a specialist lingerie shop that sells swimwear, they're all on sale now. They'll make sure the fit is good and can usually tell straight away what will suit you. Good supporting bottoms and then see how you feel in a bra style top and tankini top. You'll see all shapes, sizes and ages so hold your head up and rock it! I always find oversized, black sunglasses give me confidence too.
