What to wear to interview tomorrow

It's with an agency in London as I'm thinking about doing some temp work to let me back in gently before looking for permanent work.
I worked in the City for years until going on maternity leave in 2001.

Do I wear black corporate attire
www.reiss.com/p/tailored-v-neck-dress-womens-hartley-sleeveless-dress-in-navy-blue/?category_id=13132&gaEeList=W%20-%20Dresses%20-%20Work
Reise dress like this but in black
or should I ease off a bit and wear a blue tea dress
www.oasis-stores.com/gb/sale/dresses/juliette-print-dress/070316.html?dwvar_070316_color=61&position=29&cgid=sale-dresses#page=2&productsMoved=0&hideFeatured=false&start=29&categoryID=sale-dresses
similar to this but more stuffy, with blue jacket?
Or something else?

TIA

Love the black corporate dress. Even black suit. I always believe rather over dressed than under dressed.

I have the Reiss dress and think that would work really well.

ChippyMinton · 15/07/2019 23:48

The black.

I think it depends what kind of temp work you're looking for. If you're looking for jobs in the City again, then yes, the Reiss dress. If you're looking for jobs in more casual environments, then I don't think a £175 dress is justified (I work in media so office environments are super casual, and for interviews wear smart black trousers, blouse and jacket).

Thank you all
The Reiss dress it is.
It’s a shame it’s such a warm day Hmm

The Oasis dress is too booby.

Honestly you can find cheaper dresses than the Reiss. I'd get something from Mango/Warehouse suit to start off with then once you get work/more work invest in the Reiss or see if it goes on sale.

The catthatdanced
Thank you for posting.
I already own a Reise dress like the blue one but in black and the tea dress shown is just an example of something slightly similar to what I have.
I’m certainly not buying anything new Grin

OP - ah right! I do have a Reiss work dress (and suit - too small!) but honestly rarely wear it now in the roles I work in - not smart enough!

Hope it went/is going well with the temp agency in London!
