Grown out my roots from platinum blonde, what now?

I've been bleaching my hair since my teens and my hair was in such bad condition, last year I decided to let nature take its course and grow the roots out because my poor mop couldn't take any more peroxide.

I've now got about 4 inches of regrowth (medium brown) and the rest of my hair mid-lengths is blonde.

I don't want to lose all of the blonde but can't stand these roots any longer and don't want to go back to bleaching the regrowth.

Any ideas what I can do with it that doesn't involve going back to bleach? A low maintenance colour that will allow me to keep some blonde?

I'm going to book and consultation but have no idea what to ask for.

Any ideas?

Well obviously you’ll have to blend the demarcation line, so either get highlights to blend the regrowth into the previously bleached hair, or get low lights/drag your root colour out into the previously bleached hair

Root drag into ombré? Then you can disguise the root line but keep the blonde through the rest.

I had the same as I was getting annoyed with the obvious line of regrowth from highlights and it worked really well.

A good hairdresser / colourist should be able to advise you / give you ideas at the consultation. Including the best way to improve the condition of your hair by not over-colouring.

In your situation - where you are not sure what to do - I'd aim for the senior colourist i.e. with the most experience.

I've image searched some root drag into ombre photos and that's exactly the type of thing I'd like!

I'm definitely planning on booking with a senior stylist, if you want a job done have it done properly and all that

Thanks all Smile
