I really want to try some Charlotte Tilbury makeup.

It's pretty expensive though so I'll only be buying 2 or 3 items.

Which items have people tried and what did you think of them?

I think mascara will be my first choice as I've never found one that I'm totally happy with.

I would like to know this too. I’m interested in eyeshadow and cream blush.

UpToonGirl · 15/07/2019 11:15

I've heard good things about her face powder - I'm waiting to use up my current one then I'm going to get it. Her concealer and flawless filter seems to have mostly good reviews, again I'm just waiting on finishing some of my backlog of beauty products before I buy anything else.

CitadelsofScience · 15/07/2019 11:20

My daughter bought the Filmstar Bronze & Glow, I borrowed it. It's flipping gorgeous and is now on my list.

BusyEvenForBee · 15/07/2019 11:32

I have the mascara and not that fond of it. Too much on the brush and it gets clumpy. I have just purchased the new one from Too Faced 'Damn Girl', very happy with that one!

With CT, I love Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder, really good!

Luxury Palette, I understand Pillow Talk the most popular one, I have The Golden Goddess. Use it all the time.

I have the face palette LoveGasm, not very pigmented, not the best one.

Charlotte is just promoting the new foundation, sounds amazing! Will be in stock in August, cannot wait to buy. It is called Airbursh Flawless.

Skin care is good. Really like her Magic creams!

nixso29 · 15/07/2019 11:40

I use the Pillow Talk lip cheat and Kim KW lipstick, both worth the extra money compared to similar Mac products in my opinion

Ooogetyooo · 15/07/2019 15:52

Eyeshadow stick which goes on like a crayon , gorgeous shades and very easy to blend on lid with end of your finger or a cotton bud. Lasts for ages and doesn't disappear

Imanamechangeninja · 15/07/2019 16:41

I bought a couple of the eyeshadow sticks and although the colours were lovely I found h sicks dried out and went hard very quickly.

I like some of the lipsticks but on the whole I don’t think the quality of CT justifies the premium prices.

Totallyaddictedtoshoes · 15/07/2019 16:51

The airbrush flawless powder is the best I have ever tried, I also love the retoucher under eye concealer, it blends really well. The eyeshadow palettes are lovely especially the Dolce Vita one which are warm coppery colours. I agree with a PP about the eyeshadow sticks too, I've never been a fan of cream/pencil eyeshadows but there is no creasing with these and they go on really easily.

Flipping amazing products, I use all of the following and highly recommend them all!

Magic cream - this is the product I would choose if I could only ever have one CT product for the rest of my life! Used daily, love the smell and love how it makes my skin feel.

Flawless Filter - my no2 product, not sure I could live without it! Amazing on its own for a medium coverage, but under/blended with the magic foundation it makes my skin look literally flawlessly airbrushed.

Multi Miracle Glow - I use this to clean my makeup up off and would be up there in my top 3 products.

Magic Foundation - full coverage but very very light texture, doesn't make me feel "clogged" at all.

Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder - not huge coverage on its own but I like it for light coverage over the top of Wonder Glow when I'm having a "bare face" day or used over the Magic Foundation as a "setting powder" when I'm going full coverage. Also very silky and doesn't exaggerate my laughter lines like some powders do!

Bronze & Glow - easy to use and lasts AGES! Had mine a year, use it daily and I still haven't worn it through to the bottom of the palette.

Legendary Lashes Mascara - it definitely adds volume and length but it's very "wet" and I do feel like I waste product wiping the wand each use/combing through my lashes with a clean comb. Lasts all day though and pretty smudge proof. I'd still buy it again as I've not found a good quality mascara that is t wet like this one.

Cheek to Chic Blusher - again nice balance of pigment but easy to apply/build up and very silky - all her powders are.

Magic eye cream & Magic night cream - takes a bit of getting used to the stickiness and you have to use REALLY sparingly, I only use once or twice a week.

Skin Goddess Clay Mask - on par with other high end masks, nothing to massively rave about but doesn't dry my skin like some clay masks do. Not sure I'd specifically buy it again.

Get yourself to a counter - they'll happily give you sachet samples of all the stuff like magic cream, eye cream, night cream, clay mask, miracle glow, wonder glow and they will do a free demo of the foundations on you to match your colour.

How glittery is the bronzer? I usually use Nars or Guerlain but have run out.

graziemille567 · 15/07/2019 17:42

I've found CT products to be either really amazing or really average. I really like the Film Star Bronze and Glow, the Cheek to Chic blusher compacts and the eyeshadow palettes with 4 different shades. I'm a big fan of the Dolce Vita ones, they are amazing for a night out.

Average stuff: the mascara I found wears off by the end of the day, not great. The eye shadow sticks are great until you need to sharpen them and then they are a nightmare. I now use Bobbi Brown eyeshadow sticks and they are brilliant.

Satsuma1234 · 15/07/2019 17:54

I like wonder glow and the lighter of the two foundations. I have several lipsticks. I don’t rate pillow talk lipstick as it’s very drying.

I love the compact powder. Don’t like the mascara or moisturiser and have just bought flawless filter to try.

EnidButton · 15/07/2019 18:23

I've never been that happy with anything from there but the packaging (inc how they send it) is gorgeous and I appreciate the attention to detail. I haven't tried everything though so I'm sure there's some good products there.

I wouldn't recommend the magic wand concealer though. The formulation is pretty nice and colour is a very good match but the applicator is a terrible. It's a fat teardrop shaped sponge on a 'wand' with a twist up bottom to squeeze the product into the sponge. Apart from looking messy and horrible after a few weeks, the sponge can't be washed. Considering a lot of people will be using it on spots it's just an awful idea. It's also hard to get the right amount out.

DerelictWreck · 15/07/2019 20:04

Inspired by this thread I popped on my way home and had flawless filter applied to me -
I look ridiculous. Like a greasy shined mess. Couldn't talk my way out the chair fast enough!

CalamBalam · 15/07/2019 20:41

Stand out product for me is the Bella Sofia eyeshadow quad. Great for blue eyes.

AgnesNaismith · 15/07/2019 20:42

Magic foundation and the lipstick range is amazing - the only lipstick that suits me

Maybelle15 · 15/07/2019 20:48

Didn’t think much to the magic eyecream.
Have a few lipglosses which i rarely use. Lipstick and lip liner ok but feel i have the wrong shade. Magic foundation the one i was sold was the wrong shade. Really like the eyebrow pencil which is now the only one i will use. Blusher is also ok

findingmyfeet12 · 15/07/2019 20:54

I like the idea of the magic cream but I think it might be too rich for my oily skin.

So far I think I'll go for a mascara and maybe a face powder.

I've got Eyes to Mesmerise in rose gold and I love it. Only need to use a tiny amount so it lasting ages. Easy to blend and a great colour that lasts all day and doesn't seem to crease.

boooey · 15/07/2019 21:31

I have the flawless filter and the concealer.
I have a love/hate relationship with the FF. To avoid looking shiny, I have to apply my moisturiser 30 mins beforehand . Thing is, not many people have that much time in the morning ! For a natural glow it’s nice but I find I look like a greasy clown if I wear that and then eyeshadow / blusher/ lipstick.
I’ll take it on holiday and wear it with a bit of mascara and tiny amount of bronzer .
