Holiday shoes for 10 year old boy (not crocs)

Hiya, I love crocs for the kids on holiday because they are great for the beach etc. My 10 year old is not so keen on them anymore. Flip flops and sliders just end in accidents because they run around all the time.
Does anyone know a cooler substitute for crocs?

We are taking water shoes, sliders and trainers for our 3 - age 9, 12 and 14.

Tevas are well liked by my children.

I just like the cheap velcro sandals. My 9 year old wears them in water because he hates water shoes, and they're still in one piece. They dry fairly quickly, although obviously not like rubber sandals!

This kind www.mountainwarehouse.com/bay-junior-shandals-p14121.aspx/blue/ because they also avoid stubbed toes.

sorry that was link for smaller sizes. This is the bigger sizes, although I don't know what happened to sizes 5 and 6. (my son is a 5) www.mountainwarehouse.com/bay-kids-shandals-p13962.aspx/Dark%20Blue/?rrec=true

Any of these? Seem quite reasonably priced.
