Maria Tash piercings

Have come across these on Facebook and really love them.

I would love a daith piercing but don’t want a bar or chunky stud.
Maria Tash offers the hoop from day one which piercing shops don’t seem to do.

Anyone got any experience or feedback on Tash or daith piercings in general?

Thanks

Hey! I have a daith piercing and a gorgeous MT white gold hoop in it. Her jewellery is beautiful! DH got it for me after I had already had it done but the guage was too big so I had to let it grow over and get it pierced again, and then changed to the hoop. It looks lovely and has generally helped with my migraines - was worth the pain. Absolutely no problems healing. Go for it! 🙂

No worries! ☺️

My daith was a nightmare and I took it out in the end. MT stuff is lovely and although it's pricey you do avoid having to pay for a bar you don't want at the start.

I got some (I think) poor advice about piercing care from MT which was essentially don't touch it at all and spread it with the saline spray they sell. Needless to say it was gungey very quickly. Warm salt soaks are the only way to keep it clean.

Lamentations · 16/07/2019 21:03

Spray it!

I had a hoop from the start. Only rinse your piercing with saline. It healed pretty quickly as it's hidden but I ended up removing mine as I wanted to wear earbud headphones again!

probably not helpful but I got mine done at Topshop and later switched my bar for one of their tiny diamante hoops.

Two people so far have asked me if it's MT. I'm pleased about this as it was literally a tenth of the price Grin

@Betty777 agree you can get just as nice elsewhere at a good piercer. I do treat myself though to a new MT piece each time I'm in London as I like real diamonds Grin

I know I could save hundreds doing the bar for 12 months but i really don’t want one.
I’ll ask around at piercing shop to see if any do a hoop.
Thanks for the tips on cleaning

What's so special about the jewellery, aside from the fact they'll pierce first using a hoop?

I look likes bog-standard piercing stuff but will real jewels.

Op are you in London? A friend of mine is a piercer at Astrid and Miyu, and she does diath piercings with rings

I had a ring piercing with my daith, I still love it and have kept the same one in since I had it done. It’s just a titanium and opal ring from my local piercing parlour.

Keep it clean- saline soak twice a day. Mine healed easily, much better than my helix. But it took about 9 months altogether. I wear earbuds again now as I can swivel the ring forward and out of the way, but he couldn’t for a year or so.

Nowhere near London

I’ll ask for a recommendation nearby
Thanks

Totally love my daith piercing. Had it pierced with a hoop and get lots of comments and compliments. Not every ear is suitable though, my friend couldn't have it because her ear shape wasn't right. Might be worth checking that out beforehand to avoid disappointment.
