Hair help (pic)

Help me sort this mess out please. Shall I chop a load off, recolour?

All I ever do is add a fringe (or grow it out), and take a couple of inches off the bottom every few months.

I fancied a dark ash blonde a couple of years back, but the hairdresser somehow turned my hair green instead! (Got my money back for that one!)

I'd say it's medium thickness, but there's not loads of it, so probably not suitable for loads of layers? Almost all is my natural colour. No grey yet. Centre parting. Boring!

I would chop loads off and have a wavy long bob with middle parting. The colour looks good as it is.

Noheadlockshere · 13/07/2019 17:57

No real help OP but you look gorgeous and your hair is pretty fab as it is!! Wink

Dobinette · 14/07/2019 09:29

Thanks both! Think I'll get a bit more taken off and leave the colour as it is.

chza · 14/07/2019 09:58

I would also chop it to just above shoulder length and wear it as a long wavy bob. Colour is lovely.

Carpetburns · 14/07/2019 10:02

Really pretty OP. Leave the colour but get rid of the length. It looks a bit flat and, with a shorter style, it might add some volume and bounce. Good luck!

dancemom · 14/07/2019 10:08

I agree with @Queenioqueenio

Lose lots of the length and have a collarbone length Bob with some tousled waves

If you want colour I'd go baylage or root drag

Moondancer73 · 14/07/2019 10:09

Be bold! I don't think there's anything wrong with the length to be honest - its nice to be able wear it up or down although I'd say go for a nice fringe, long and coming across your face maybe iukwim? And some layers in it maybe.
If you're bored why not go for a colour - even if for the summer - purple, burgundy, just to freshen it up a bit?

TropicalBabe · 14/07/2019 11:23

I would have a fringe, highlights and about 8 inches off the length

youvegottobekidding · 14/07/2019 14:16

I’m going to go against the majority here & say keep the length! I’d kill to have your length hair right now! I know it’s not really what you want to hear, but I honestly think your hair, that length looks just great.

I get you’re bored of it, but you have length on your side, you can create so many styles! Get looking on Pinterest for top knots, plaits, pony tails, the lot!

The colour looks good as it is as well, but you can play with that too, go to a reputable hairdresser if your budget allows you to, maybe a warmer chestnut semi or some caramel highlights. If I was you, i’d perhaps grow out your fringe a little bit longer? Or go the opposite & get a full fringe cut in?
