Water retention

Usually when the good weather starts my fingers swell up. It's not a huge issue in the UK, just when I'm on holiday. If over 25 degress, my legs and feet also become swollen, I really don't do well in the heat at all. Anyway. This time around, I still haven't been on holiday, we've had like one day of good weather, but following that one day, I have stayed permanently bloated. My legs feel heavy and I can't bear to wear anything but flip flops. This is all to do with the menopause isn't it? I mean, everything else seems to... I am approaching 50 by the way. What can I do? Having sausage fingers is one thing but the constant discomfort when it's not even that warm is really getting me down.
I also have these tiny bubble-like bumps on my fingers, like in the layer just immediately under my skin. They also always make an appearance when the warmer weather starts.

I’ve always suffered with heavy legs and swollen feet in very hot weather since my teens. It’s actually quite frustrating because my legs are naturally quite slim but my calves and feet swell.
Best advice is to cut salt out of your diet completely, avoid processed foods, eat as naturally as possible. Also drink as much water as you possibly can, it really helps oedema.
Also spend 20 minutes a couple of times a day with your legs raised higher than your body. It works!
