Does anyone else only use Head and Shoulders?

If I don’t use it I get visible dandruff and my head gets itchy but I had my hair coloured and don’t want it to fade quickly. I am looking for something gentler. Any suggestions?

I used coal tar shampoo years ago and it worked. Eventually it dawned on me that my problem was hair styling products irritating my scalp. This was in the era of hair mousse - we all had floofy hair then, lord knows what we were thinking. So now I only use gels or creams and keep them away from the scalp - no more dandruff. Always have head and shoulders in the house though - used neat on dry hair it is ace for removing hair dye if my hair has turned out too dark.

Head and shoulders is quite harsh. Can you try a sulphate free shampoo or a shampoo bar. Eliminating sodium Laureth sulphate and other parabens might ease the scalp irritation and the dandruff. It will also be much gentler and stop the colour stripping.

What about the head and shoulders shampoo for coloured hair? I estarted using that recently and find it quite gentle.

I used to buy it till the pharmacist lady explained it actually CAUSES dandruff.

I now use a medical shampoo about once every two months instead and it works a treat.

The new head and shoulders range Is great, I use the ones for dry hair. Don't have dandruff - just use it because it's such a lovely range!

They do head and shoulders for coloured hair, presumably that is gentler on colour?
