Gel pedicure?

If you get this done, can you tell me how long I could realistically expect it to look good for please?! I have the odd gel manicure but have never let anyone loose on my feet! Thanks Smile

I have it done before I go on holiday. I expect it to last for a 2 week holiday and then have it taken off when I get back.

Having said that, I've got shellac on my toes at the moment, and that is still looking good after 3 weeks (although coming off next week).

I have jessica gel manicure and it looks really good for at least 4 weeks. Then obviously it grows out a bit but I can go ages inbetween having it done

clucky3 · 12/07/2019 09:21

I had one done at the end of May that still looks okay, just starting to grow out a bit now

LonelyPiggy · 12/07/2019 09:34

Mine lasts for ages - 5-6 weeks?

florriepeck · 12/07/2019 16:13

I have a gel pedicure every six weeks, but sometimes I've left it a couple of weeks longer, if wanting it to be done nearer to a holiday or event, and its lasted fine.

GinisLife · 12/07/2019 16:16

Mine lasts for weeks. I have it redone in the end just because my toe nails need cutting lol

CakeInMyFace · 12/07/2019 20:10

I'm getting my first gel pedicure next week and not sure what colour to go for. Something I'll be happy with for ages. Any suggestions? What does everyone go for?

Alsohuman · 12/07/2019 20:14

Mine lasts until it grows out enough to look scruffy. About six weeks realistically. Mine are currently red.

ParkheadParadise · 12/07/2019 20:15

I get a gel pedicure every 4weeks.
I could probably get away leaving it longer. I get my nails done every 4weeks so it's easier to get my toes done at the time.

Alicecooperslovechild · 12/07/2019 20:26

Generally looks good for 3-4 weeks. After that the growth becomes a bit obvious.

stucknoue · 12/07/2019 20:33

I get a regular pedicure with standard varnish and it lasts a month. No need for gel on feet (hands essential!)

Alsohuman · 12/07/2019 20:42

Gel’s brilliant on feet. No hanging about waiting for it to dry and it stays shiny until it’s removed. I’ll never have standard varnish again.

dottyaboutstripes · 12/07/2019 22:23

Brilliant! Thanks everyone 😊

How long do people get out of gel manicures? I had mine done on Tuesday (usually paint my own nails but we were going away for a few days) and I already think it looks daft because of gaps at the base. My nails grow super quick. I am going to remove it on Sunday but it seems a lot of money for less than a week. Maybe the lady didn’t go close enough yo the cuticle?

Alsohuman · 12/07/2019 23:07

Mine look good for two weeks, tolerable for the third. I have them done every three weeks.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/07/2019 23:12

Thanks alsohuman I think mine are already intolerable!

Oh, it did. Sorry.

JaceLancs · 13/07/2019 08:53

Months - I have to have them redone eventually as they start to grow out

qj17 · 13/07/2019 09:09

@Judystilldreamsofhorses mine were done 8 days ago and my nails grow really quick I'm hoping to get another 2-3 weeks out of them.

Mine lasts ages about 8 weeks

CremeEggThief · 13/07/2019 17:38

Absolutely ages. Months if I get it done towards the end of the summer. In fact, normal polish often lasts 8 weeks on my feet, without any chipping, so I've gone back to that!Grin

Scratchyfluffface · 13/07/2019 17:48

My bio sculpture usually lasts 7/8 weeks and only then comes off because I have to cut my toenails! Would say it looks good for 5/6 weeks then the regrowth becomes noticeable
