Straw like hair - gone!

I have below shoulder length highlighted hair (fine, lots of it but getting slightly less as I age).

Usually I wash it - with a very moisturising (probably too moisturising) shampoo and conditioner, then coat it with Tigi Bed Head Ego Boost - a leave in conditioner - if it dries in time I put a serum on it (Aveda Light Elements) and a finishing cream - Redken Outshine 01.

I posted here about the condition being straw like.

Anyway - got some Herbal Essences Passion Flower and Rice Milk Nourishing Shampoo, L'Oreal Dream Lengths Rapid Reviver Long Hair Power Conditioner - let it dry naturally and bloody hell - straw gone - or hardly any!

It's a miracle I tell you.

30 years plus here boycotting Nestle. It's not hard

Ditto contributing to the profits of companies that literally don’t care about babies or human rights.

TheCatThatDanced · 12/07/2019 11:17

I've decided I will boycott Nestle etc and look at more companies not involved with animal testing from now on.

Thanks for the lists, MoreSlidingDoors I will avoid those products from now on.

Thanks for this tip OP. I have been using the shampoo for about 10 days and it's really improved my dry hair. Much softer and sleeker now.
As an aside, I've boycotted Nestle for about 30 years. I'm proud to say that since I explained why, my kids have chosen to as well, (despite liking tic tacs!)

best conditioner ever is body shop shea butter mask.

I’ve been using shampoo bars for over a year now, trying to reduce plastic. But over the past 2 weeks my hair has been dry, stretchy and coarse. It’s awful. I’ve bought some hair masks etc and I’m hoping they work. Hoping I don’t have to return to liquid shampoo and conditioner :(

Honestly just stop using shampoo full stop. I started with just using conditioner and rinsing my hair through every few days. Then I left it a week, thought I wonder if I could make it to two weeks. It’s now been 8 weeks since shampoo’ing and my hair looks amazing
