Thinking of buying it for a 25-year-old who loves silver, minimalist jewellery. My friend pulled a face when I showed her and said it looks a bit 'naff' and she could make it herself. I think it's really pretty. What do you think? It's from Annie Haak.

Just to be clear, the little 'beads' are freshwater pearls.

I think it's lovely

pintoffginplz · 09/07/2019 16:13

That's lovely!

DaffodilsAreMyFav · 09/07/2019 16:13

Very pretty - a lovely present.

DramaAlpaca · 09/07/2019 16:14

It's very pretty, but I'm not sure it's minimalist.

BikeRunSki · 09/07/2019 16:14

That’s lovely, but more classic than trendy.

BlueMerchant · 09/07/2019 16:19

I don't like the length (on the model anyway). I also don't think it's very minimalist. I'm thinking it's a bit dated.

TigerLilyMasie · 09/07/2019 16:26

So useful to get feedback here thanks very much! I do think it's pretty but I'm now also thinking a bit old-fashioned.

ViciousTrollop · 09/07/2019 16:28

Yes it's definitely old-fashioned. I can't imagine a 25 year old wearing it tbh.

BelindasGleeTeam · 09/07/2019 16:29

Try Ania Haie instead, they're modern and do decent silver at reasonable price.

sirmione16 · 09/07/2019 16:49

I'm 23 and wouldn't wear it. Personally I see the value and timelessness of pearls however they're not "trendy"

LucheroTena · 09/07/2019 16:55

Not minimalist and I agree it’s old fashioned.

Op try Missoma, they are minimal and trendy.

TigerLilyMasie · 09/07/2019 17:26

Many thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated :)

I love it (30 year old)

BirthdayDreamer · 09/07/2019 17:54

It's gorgeous and I would have loved it at that age. Timeless and will go well with other fine layering necklaces if so wished in the future. Then again I do love a round/choker length necklace whereas most people like drop or pendants, but as a minimalist myself when it comes to jewellery, I like the simplicity of a "round neck" rather than a "v neck" or "oval hang" necklace.

BogglesGoggles · 09/07/2019 17:56

That looks quite fussy to me.

ElspethFlashman · 09/07/2019 17:59

I'm not hugely keen. It does look a bit old fashioned and yes, a bit crafty.

Though maybe it looks super luxe in the flesh!

Apolloanddaphne · 09/07/2019 17:59

My DDs are 21 and 26 and wouldn't wear it. They would think it better for someone older. They prefer plain chains with something on the end. Look at the Oliver Bonas ones. They love those.

TigerLilyMasie · 09/07/2019 18:00

I quite like the look of the jewellery on this site:

Mummyto2munchkins · 09/07/2019 18:01

I'm 26 and I'd wear it! I have one similar - minus the pearls :)

Apolloanddaphne · 09/07/2019 18:05

The OMCH ones are lovely!

Maxineputyourredshoeson · 09/07/2019 18:08

TigerLilyMasie I personally wouldn’t wear the first necklace but I love the stuff from My Clumsy Heart, I have actually sent the link to DH for present ideas Grin

Maxineputyourredshoeson · 09/07/2019 18:09

Sorry missed the Oh

Apolloanddaphne · 09/07/2019 18:12

My DD2 just recommended this site called Missoma
