Tall recommendations please

Evening,

Looking for recommendations for tall womenswear. I'm 6ft and a size 14/16, 36 inch leg.

I'd love to develop my own sense of style, at the moment I wear whatever fits the best really. I'd really like some good quality clothes.

I know of the usual suspects.

Topshop, Dorothy Perkins starting to feel a bit young
Long tall sally - still seems a bit old as not flattering.
Asos and next don't seem to last well.

Thanks in advance

Hi OP,

Afraid I'm an absolute shorty so no help (though you're welcome to all the bits I have to chop off the bottoms of my trousers just to make them in any way wearable!)

Bumping this for you in hopes someone in the know will be along soon. Can anyone help with recommendations?

Some M&S tall is actually long enough for me (I'm shorter than you and need about a 34" inside leg to be really comfortable). I think it has got longer in recent years - it used to be a bit of joke ('Tall? Call this tall? Who are they trying to kid?')

A bit niche I know but if you ever want cow-pat coloured waterproof outdoor trousers, Seeland ones might be just long enough for you.

Seeland is a Danish firm - I think the Danes tend to be taller, as do the Dutch, so looking for clothes made primarily for those two markets might help you.

Good luck. I find it hard enough, I'm not exactly a giant.

How about Zara and And Other Stories?

I generally only ever wear jeans in order to get the correct leg length but their dresses are a good length on me.

I find good quality, good fit dresses at Baukjen, Jigsaw and Antroplogie (Maeve dresses). My favourite clothes this year seem to be Baukjen.

This year fashion is all about midi dresses and cropped trousers, both of which really suit tall people IMO (and can be worn a few inches "too short") so I have bought some nice stuff on the high street too.

Go mad! Seriously, I have never found so much high street stuff that fitted and suited me.

Agree that DP is boring now, and LTS feels too old for me (though am 48 Grin)

Am 6ft, size 12/14 Fwiw.

I'm 6ft, size 10/12, 36" inside leg and like you said, I just wear what fits. No pearls of wisdom I'm afraid, I'm stuck in Next, LTS and Dorothy Perkins Tall online ranges for clothes and avoid the high street as I get completely fed up as nothing fits in the shops. Can you look at your style in accessories/bags/shoes etc as that must be an easier place to start?
