Boob or bust

CakeNinja · 07/07/2019 23:29

Just tried their calculator out and it’s measuring me at a 34G.
I have virtually no boobs. I googled 34G boobs (not advisable Shock ) to see if they looked anything like mine. They don’t.
Mine are totally empty and saggy, barely fill a C cup if anything. Hate going shopping for bras and don’t want anyone wrestling with my back fat or wobbly belly to manipulate me into trying bras on.
Please help, all I want is a couple of decent bras Sad

Also, they sit an inch apart on my chest...

I found it accurate on family and friends!

But you need to try them on as different ones look different depending on style

Just been with DD and we tried 6 bras and left with two - no assistance needed

I think the whole bra intervention thing can only work for young perky breasts.
Just because mine hang down a foot when I lean forward doesn’t mean I am a 34 ZZ, it just means they are long and droopy, but that I can round th up into a c cup happily.

If you don’t want to be measured then go into the shop and take a range of sizes and just try them. Your size may change depending on the style and some styles will suit more than others. People tend to over estimate band size and under estimate cup size. I was wearing 36 b but was measured at 34c for example. Anyway it’s trial and error.

Okay. I went today and tried on a load. Came home with 2 bras in a 34C but the cup still gapes at the top. I think it’s the style, I tried the same ones on in a B and ended up with double boob.

I would try an independent lingerie shop or boux Avenue to get measured. M and s measuring is very poor

CakeNinja · 08/07/2019 00:02

Have had some good bras from M&S but haven’t used their measuring service. The 2 I got today were actually from Boux Avenue.

This might help as well brasihate.blogspot.com/2013/02/clarifying-breast-shape-full-on-top-vs.html.

The shape and fullness and whether you’ve got loose skin matter as well.

DramaAlpaca · 08/07/2019 01:14

The inch apart detail you've given tells me you need to try balcony or balconette styles. That's what works for me.

CakeNinja · 08/07/2019 23:38

I will have to brace myself for another round of traumatic bra drama - I never realised the extent of my back fat until I saw it in the mirror Confused

I would try to buy the bras in the BOB size on brastop or something.

I’m sure when you googled that size you weren’t getting people that are actually that size according to BOB because most people don’t wear bras according to their sizing.

I’m an E and honestly not remotely big. My BOB size is right but I’ve decided I just don’t find fitted bras that comfortable and go with supportive and vaguely attractive crop top things instead where I can.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 09/07/2019 11:35

I found it accurate. With bob I’m a 32E/F or occasionally a 30F/FF (depends on the brand, some 32 bands come up large on me) from a 36 C (as measured years ago in Debenhams. They’re so so comfy & all of my boob is in the bra!

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 09/07/2019 11:40

Have you scooped all the way round from your back to get any wandering breast tissue in to the cup?

CakeNinja · 09/07/2019 17:46

Well I can comfortably fit all of my boob in a hand with nothing falling out.
I am 99.9999% sure I will have nothing to put in an bra that size but I’ll order some anyway. What have I got to lose?!
I’ve scooped until I’m almost scratched raw 😂 okay maybe not as drastic as that but yeah, I’ve scooped.
Many moons ago we had an amazing underwear shop my friend owned in town, she was very highly qualified in bra fitting and showed me how to do it. Sadly she passed away and now I’m post dc I could really do with her advice.
