Can anyone recommend some jeans for me?

I’m looking for straight leg ( not skinny but pretty straight) in a mid indigo. Basic jeans.

I used to wear gap real straight but they seem to have completely change the fit and style? I used to like them as they tapered slightly to the ankle so were slim straight if that makes a sense!

I should be more adventurous in the trousers department but given I’m not would be prepared to pay a bit more for a pair of jeans that look good!

Birch Straight leg jeans from Whitestuff. They sell other straight legged jeans as well but I've been happy with my Birch ones.
I also have a pair from JL that I'm happy with.

Try [[https://www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/mid-blue-raw-hem-straight-leg-jeans-7966086 Raw Hem Straight leg from I find jeans v difficult and I really like these. I have an old pair of the Gap ones you mentioned and I think these are way nicer. The fit is much better. Come in a plethora of colors too.

Hi op, I was very much a Gap straight leg until they messed it up so I know what you mean.

Since then I've had success with Levis 712. Picked at random so no idea what they are actually meant to be! I then got carried away and bought them in more colours and none of the others had the same fit.

Not what you're looking for but my most recent jeans purchase I'm really happy with are Hush capris. Slightly on the light side but not white wash. They are also properly on the waist, which is comfortable but also handy when your stomach is a problem area (mine is).

Blush The ones I have are 99% cotton and 1% elastane, slightly different to what I linked but I can’t find mine online anymore. Got them earlier this year. Light blue denim.

Thanks all - will have a try of these!

@GreenFieldsofFrance I had exactly that with 712s. Bought one pair, best jeans I've ever owned. Ordered a few more in exactly the same range and size thinking I'd found the holy grail of jeans, and none of the others fit the same!! So annoying 🤬

I have found M&S jeans really good for what you pay for them.

I usually buy them reduced or with %off so it’s even better value!

ILikeyourHairyHands · 09/07/2019 12:37

I'm currently wearing a pair of mid indigo 712s! Really great jeans, my current favourites. Quite a high rise too so they suck everything in.

Mint Velvet straight leg are good

Ifsomeonehadtoldme · 09/07/2019 15:33

Vote for Levi’s straight leg used to be 714 (still available on Amazon) but has changed and mine are upstairs with the finally napping baby who I dare not disturb.

It’s the first time he’s gone longer than 45mins - probably be up all bloody night instead!
