Pre teens and shaving

Very strange one here.

My eldest is nearly 10 and she came home the other day unset because she was being teased for having hairy legs.

As a dad I'm not sure what to say and relying on her mum's point of view regarding this.

I mean this is primary school and I thought this would be something to discuss during puberty

But normal range of puberty is from 8 for girls, so by 10 many will be well into puberty, started periods, needing bra's etc. I'm trying to give mine the message that body hair is normal and absolutely fine but if she wishes to remove it I will discuss options and help her do so. I cut my legs to shreds shaving when my mum thought I didn't need to, I want to avoid that for her!

I bought my DD age 11 the Wilkinson Quattro wire wrapped blade razor.

And now she's used to shaving she just uses Tesco own brand disposable razors. Her leg hair is so fine so she doesn't have to shave that often.

She found the wire wrapped razors a bit annoying after a while because they clogged up but they were perfect to use till getting used to it ie getting the angle right and speed etc.

What is her mum's point of view?

I got my periods at 10. I think you are in denial about the age of female puberty.
