And what makes them so good? Thanks.

I have several Estée Lauder and I love the feel of them on my lips but the one I wear day in is a Sephora own brand lipstick.
It's vibrant and long lasting

I like Lipstick Queen, all the formulations are great. Medieval, Eden and a couple from the Dating Game collection are my favourite colours. They feel so comfortable to wear and always get compliments.

I also like Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution but not many colours suit me and Chanel Rouge Flash, a sheerer formula a bit more like a lip balm texture with some lovely colours.

Dora26 · 06/07/2019 19:52

Mac - it lasts!

ZaraW · 06/07/2019 19:54

I really like Morphe, Rituel Del Filles (sp) NYX and Kat Von D.

Fantababy · 06/07/2019 19:56

Mac but creme, not matte. The matte is too matte for me. ☹️

Myfoolishboatisleaning · 06/07/2019 19:57

I like lipstick queen too.

TheMarbleFaun · 06/07/2019 20:05

Urban Decay
Very long lasting not drying & a good selection of colours

Ninkaninus · 06/07/2019 20:08

Estée Lauder, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Tom Ford.

Isleepinahedgefund · 06/07/2019 20:47

I love the smash box lipsticks, they stay put!

bingowingsmcgee · 06/07/2019 20:49

Nars audacious

TSSDNCOP · 06/07/2019 21:07

Bobbi

TantricTwist · 06/07/2019 21:50

Rimmel because they do my favourite colour

TantricTwist · 06/07/2019 21:51

I don't like the long lasting ones because they dry my lips out.

justilou1 · 06/07/2019 21:53

Thedarklady · 09/07/2019 08:14

Bobbi Brown but just bought some Shu Umera duty feee and bold shades which I don’t normally wear but look fantastic!

Ninkaninus · 09/07/2019 10:37

👋 at @justilou1 — I resisted buying a vastly reduced mini collection of Marc Jacobs lipsticks last Christmas in the sales (I think there were 12 in the box?) and I really regret it now!

I realised I never answered the other part of the question - I don’t know enough about lipsticks to say exactly what makes them so good; I’ve not paid enough attention to properly analyse it...I just love the packaging, the feel, the luxury of it. Some of it might be psychological (it’s a treat and feels like more of a treat), but I do think that by and large, the premium brands I’ve tried have been of a better standard.

Leftielefterson · 09/07/2019 10:45

Urban Decay
MAC
CT
Tom Ford
Chanel

Ninkaninus · 09/07/2019 10:47

I really like UD eyeshadows but I’ve never tried a lipstick! Oh there’s always something to spend on!!

SionnachGeal70 · 09/07/2019 13:59

Clinique Pop and l'Oreal Color Riche formulas.

TheBigBallOfOil · 09/07/2019 14:01

Another one for lipstick queen. Medieval is red lipstick for people who are frightened of lipstick (like me). Very sheer.

Ratonastick · 09/07/2019 14:37

The Clinique chubby sticks and lipstick queen (someone bought me the green one as a joke and it’s fantastic) for sheer colour, Clinique pops for good colour and Charlotte Tilbury for heavier but creamy feel. And YSL for classic red. I can’t really get on with Mac or Estée Lauder though other people rave about both. Bobbi Brown is a bit blah. Haven’t tried smashbox or NARS yet.

I love lipstick!

BusterGonad · 09/07/2019 14:48

@justilou1 Marc Jacobs cream ones (Le Marc Creme?) are my favorite EVER!
