Please help, the husband of my very best friend has died and I need a smart black dress for the funeral. Can you help me find a size 18 black linentype midiish dress that I can buy on t’internet preferably under £100?? It’s no time for a shopping trip ..... TIA x

I think I would look at John Lewis. Lots of different brands and a range of prices. Just make sure you hit the ‘hide out of stock items’ at the top left to avoid having to sift through hundreds of unavailable items.

You can filter to show offers only if budget is an issue, colour and size so it’s easy and straightforward.

Alternatively when I went to a funeral last year I wore a black suit jacket and skirt with a black ribbed top. I got that from M&S. They also did dresses in black to match.
