I thought it was a bit different to the usual floral patterns.

What do you think of this bikini?

It’s fine, a bit meh.

Riceandthings · 03/07/2019 20:30

I wouldnt wear it, I'm mid 40s. Its a bit 'safe' Smile

I would probably go with black.

AnyFucker · 03/07/2019 20:31

I like it

Hecateh · 03/07/2019 20:32

I like the shape of it and love the bottom but not keen on the non matching horizontal stripes on the top.

NeatFreakMama · 03/07/2019 20:33

I like it, looks supportive too.

cushioncovers · 03/07/2019 20:33

The shape is nice but the pattern is a bit meh.

MrHaroldFry · 03/07/2019 20:39

I don't find anything offensive about it. If I was in the hotel shop and I'd left my bikini at home and had to buy one, i would buy it, but it wouldn't 'spark joy'!

Alabasterangel6 · 03/07/2019 20:39

I like it but if you are buying at bravissimo because you are booby then my expertise is that the halter neck, even with a wire, will pull slightly on your neck. After a while that gets irritating

I’d also suggest that again, for big boobs, halters are not the most flattering. They tend to squish the boobs together.

But for an E or under (I’m a G!) i’d say it was nice.

Pour moi also do some nice, non passed, non flowery numbers.

Alabasterangel6 · 03/07/2019 20:41

Expertise! Urgh!! Experience!! Freudian slip I have no bikini expertise Confused

WhoKnewBeefStew · 03/07/2019 22:03

I like it, but it is bordering on being ‘safe’

StarlightLady · 04/07/2019 06:22

I prefer to go topless where I can. The top straps look ever so thick. Unless you get an opportunity to spend at least some of the time topless (often with places, you don’t know unti you go) you are going to have some pretty robust tan lines.

EskewedBeef · 04/07/2019 06:27

It's fine. Nothing remarkable about it. Debenhams had loads of stripes and nautical type bikinis hugely reduced in their sale when I was in yesterday, and Next also has a number of geometric non-floral prints.

TapasForTwo · 04/07/2019 06:33

I like it. I'm surprised at some of the comments on here. What is "safe" about it? I wish I had those curves.

Dungarees · 04/07/2019 07:35

This would be my second choice. I'm a 32G hence shopping at Bravissimo. I really do need a supportive top. I'm not too bothered about tan lines because I don't tan much, but it's a good point about the halter neck becoming annoying.

There's a gorgeous bikini in fatface but it just doesn't work for me. I'll post a link.

I absolutely love this one, I know it's floral but I actually like this one, I ordered it from Next but it's got to go back as it's no good for me. I've ordered the tankini in it in a size up to see if that works.

OP posts:
Sproink · 04/07/2019 08:24

I can understand the 'safe' comments. There is too much of it for me and I prefer tie side bottoms (and tops). I don't like the pattern either.

Apart from that, it's lovely. Grin

The Fatface one would be my pick of the three.

Dungarees · 04/07/2019 08:57

Unfortunately fatface swimwear is generic sizes they don't cater for larger boobs.

OP posts:
Sproink · 04/07/2019 09:10

Can you mix and match with separates? To be family friendly I really need the top two sizes bigger than the bottom. My go-to bikini brands are Billabong, Ripcurl and O'Neill.

Dungarees · 04/07/2019 09:21

Just looked, Billabong have some lovely swimwear, right up my street.

Not sure any of it would fit me though. I'm not fat but I basically have huge boobs and a huge arse.

OP posts:
florriepeck · 04/07/2019 09:21

OP, Bravissimo sells "Halto", a device that fits onto the back of a halter neck: distributes the weight of boobs to make a halter neck more comfortable.

KatharinaRosalie · 04/07/2019 09:36

If you are a G cup I really don't see how you could wear swimwear without cup sizes, so generic just won't work. If you go a few sizes up, it won't offer any support.

I like the stripes but I don't think the cut is too flattering, seems to flatten the boobs. Check eBay for your size, there's quite a bit. If you like the Fatface one then what about Fantasie Seychelles, Paradise Bay, Mui, Antigua or Margarita? Or Freya Wild SUn, Mamba, Way out west, Electro beach, Tropicool?

ShirleyPhallus · 04/07/2019 09:41

That bikini is so meh, it’s fine but not drastically different to floral designs in terms of popularity.

Jasper Conran surprisingly has some great bikinis for bigger cup sizes, as does ASOS. Second Freya too, some lovely ones there

PolkaDotHoneyPot · 04/07/2019 09:46

I'm a 32GG and get all my bikinis/swimsuits from bravissimo. I really rate the halto and use it all the time! Also halter neck is the perfect shape for large breasts as it offers good support and a nice shape. Not sure where the PP who said it wasn't good got that info from!

I like the bikini but there are much nicer ones in bravissimo and figleaves at the moment.

dontgobaconmyheart · 04/07/2019 09:54

Totally inoffensive OP, nothing wrong with it at all but I wouldn't call it different, or fashion forward (not that it needs to be, of course). Have you looked on ASOS? They do fuller bust swimwear/underwear.

KatharinaRosalie · 04/07/2019 09:56

I'm total strapless convert, Fantasie or Freya bandeau bikinis give excellent support and won't pull on your neck or shoulders. I've had mixed success with halters, some can be really unflattering. Freya does a soft cup halter that's really nice though, Samba and Bondi and similar.
