Are these good? I've found some grey metallic leather uppers for £48 and wondering!

I really like them, as long as you can tolerate the toe post.

I've got lots of pairs and I like them a lot.

They are my favourite type of birks, I'm wearing them now.

Although I've read other threads were people say they struggle or find them uncomfortable

They're nice but I can't wear them as I have a bunion (yuk) on my right foot that sticks out when I wear gizehs! I prefer Mayaris or Arizonas.

Yes, love them. Me and a friend turned up to meet twinning with ours today and were saying how of all Birkenstock's they are the most flattering on the foot. I have the EVA version and they are the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned.

And £48 is a good price for a leather pair...

I have bunions it doesn't stop me from wearing them. They are my favourite design. My friend who hates Birkenstocks states they are less Fred Flintstone than the other styles. I have no issue with them and can walk all day in them.

I love toe post sandals generally, but don’t like Gizehs that much, although I love Madrids and Arizona’s.

The upper bit round the toe post is kind of flappy and annoying against your toesI feel.

I don't like mine. The toe post is plastic and they are uncomfortable. I much prefer my Mephisto Helen's which have a leather post.

I find them very comfy on the whole but do agree about the flappy bit over the toes, I also don't think they are very attractive. I prefer Mayari or Arizona.
