Another birkies thread.. sorry. EVA Madrid or Arizona?

I really want some white Eva Birkenstocks for on the beach on holiday. Should I go for Madrid or Arizona? I assume Arizona would stay on even better? Especially walking in sand etc

I have Madrid and Arizona ones. Both stay on fine. Great for holidays.
Best beach shoes are crocs though. Sorry.

ZazieTheCat · 03/07/2019 09:53

Have both. Like both. Fewer tan lines with Madrid.

dudsville · 03/07/2019 09:55

I have both. I wouldn't plan on walking far in the madrid, but I also don't like flipflopping around. My madrid's are garden shoes or for long journeys where I don't want to be bound up in shoes and am only nipping to the loo or something. That said, they do stay on my feet perfectly fine so if you like a bit flipflopping it shouldn't matter. My favourite Arizona's at the moment are the felt ones with the soft foot bed. SOOOOOOOO comfortable.

Sooverthemill · 03/07/2019 10:05

Arizona. Madrid's are to flappy for the beach. And I find Madrid's so uncomfortable whereas with Arizona you just forget you are wearing them

fishnugget · 03/07/2019 11:04

@Sooverthemill That's what I suspected

Yay fishnugget

fishnugget · 03/07/2019 18:32

I'm disproportionately excited! I imagine they're the most comfortable things ever

Report back!

fishnugget · 05/07/2019 09:09

Oh my god! They're as light as polystyrene!

How are you finding them to walk in? I’m wondering if I can get away with them for Disney World.

MikeUniformMike · 05/07/2019 09:34

They look great. I want some now.

ZazieTheCat · 05/07/2019 09:52

Ah, hadn’t clicked you meant the foam ones. I had gizehs and didn’t like them. Too light and slippy. But DH has the Arizonas in navy and adores them. He wears them as slippers.

fishnugget · 05/07/2019 10:27

They amazing to walk in!

I just walked around town and the park for an hour. No rubbing or anything and I've never worn the Arizona shape before.

fishnugget result!

Just ordered the Eva Madrid in black! £16 on Asos (they're the narrow ones on Asos though)
