No you won’t!! I can tell you what happened me. Blessed relief of clear skin is all. I stayed normal-ish to dry for a while and gradually went back to oily-ish after about 6 weeks, but not as oily as I used to be. And I’m still spot free. It is fantastic.

Alienspaceship · 02/07/2019 10:47

My acne returned slowly within a few weeks. Sorry.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/07/2019 10:50

Yeah don’t worry, I’m prepared for the acne to come back. Can’t quite believe anything will ever work tbh.

Dermatologist said it’s worked.

I had unremitting acne. The real McCoy. I had to put off treatment while ttc and breastfeeding. Nothing worked, and I tried everything before Roaccutane. My consultant did warn me I probably would need further courses over the years. 10 years in and so far so good.

Sorry to hear you’re one of the few percent it didn’t work for, Alienspace. Acne is a total bastard sometimes.

I came off it in April 2014 after a 6-month course and have not had a single spot since. Literally not a one in more than 5 years.

In fact my skin has completely changed for the better in every way.

HerculesMulligan · 02/07/2019 16:34

I took it when I was 20, and I'm 39 now. It's never ever come back like it was. I occasionally get horrid chin spots but only ever one or two at a time, so not like the proper acne spread I had over my forehead and upper back.

lottieleo · 02/07/2019 16:46

Mines never come back. I still don't have perfect skin but more congested looking on occasion than actual spots or black heads. Only get full on spots when I use fake tan on my face

redpickle · 02/07/2019 17:22

I came off it 15 years ago and still clear. My nails have never recovered. I used to have great nails but since Roaccutane they've been dry and flaky. I think it's worth it though.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/07/2019 18:44

She said if I it comes back I go straight to my dr to be re-referred back to dermatology.

They were really nice about it considering they’ve got skin cancer patients to see to.

I was only on it 4 months.

I had a three month course and clear skin ever since, no lasting side effects Smile best thing I ever did!
