Handbag recommendations?

Can anyone help me find a stylish/classy black leather handbag for work? I don’t know where to start looking.

Would like it to be a decent size to fit a4 paperwork/my laptop and a bottle of water. Want to wear it over my shoulder like a tote bag, I don’t really like long straps.

I don’t want to go for an expensive designer brand as it will just end up ruined, so my budget is just £300.

Good time to buy as Osprey, Kate Spade, Coach and more have good sales on at the moment. I’ve had great bags from TK Maxx, I’d look at Coach first or good Italian bags from Borsettaonline.
I’m not particularly a Radley fan but they do have some nice styles in the more subtle ones
