Wedding outfit - 4 year old boy

Is this wedding outfit acceptable for a 4 year old boy? We're going to his uncle's wedding soon. He gets sweaty easily so I went for a short sleeved shirt and shorts in case the weather is warm (mid-August so could be).

What kind of shoes would go with this? I was thinking of getting white trainers / pumps. Is that too informal?

I think that's perfect for a four year old. Presumably he's not a page boy or you'd have been asked to get him a particular outfit. White pumps will be fine!

Thanks for your reply no, he's not a page boy (or at least nobody has told me that he is playing a part!) so I assume that we can choose any outfit we like.

That's a lovely little outfit. White converse, even hi tops will look great with that and he can wear them plenty afterwards. He's only little, so he should just be comfy.
