Our office is boiling hot. No air con.

So hard to keep cool.

What are you all wearing to keep comfortable but still keeping professional dress code?

Long skirt no knickers! But don’t tell my colleagues! Wink

Chocolatecake12 · 30/06/2019 22:13

I wear a linen skirt but my nhs top is 100% polyester so by the end of the day it’s stuck to me!

DarlingCoffee · 03/07/2019 12:18

Thank you @SwedishEdith you have saved me! Just ordered a pair in navy Smile

Also in long skirts with no knickers! Grin

I have chinos in just about every conceivable colour, so it's a pair of those with some sort of three quarter length sleeved top - a light blouse or Breton top. I don't wear short sleeves because of scarring on my arms. My legs are horrible to behold without tights, and I can't wear maxi skirts and dresses without looking like one of those metal pepperpots you used to get in 80s transport caffs. So it's trousers now until the temperature drops back below 20°C. Shoes unfortunately have to be proper closed ones because I have to wear special insoles, but I can wear canvas ones, which are not too awful and sweaty.

I am very lucky that my office has such a relaxed dress code though!

Dark skinny jeans, vest top and blazer. I've been boiling all day but won't take my blazer off because I have a "thing" about bare arms in offices.

Linen mix shift dresses. Have about 5 and wear with flats or wedges.

I thought I got a bargain bundle of short sleeved shirts on ebay but they are all polyester and a bit sweaty. Its odd as I dont have this issue in my polyester dresses.

Full ski gear, I’m a ski instructor who’s too lazy to change when she gets to work Smile

Catalicious · 03/07/2019 21:01

My office is fucking freezing thanks to air con so I am changing into thermal t-shirts when I get there Confused

Feliciaxxx · 03/07/2019 21:08

Boiling hot as a prison nurse but I won't take my cardigan off as I hate my bingo wings so much!! Need to get a lightweight, cooling cardigan if such a thing exists.

I got this in the sale from Boden. It's much brighter than it looks in the photo, a really nice light fabric and I've had no end of compliments.

I've stopped bothering to look even remotely professional at work........ Nobody has said anything........ Yet.
