Could someone recommend me a foundation and concealer for rosacea?

I have redness in my nose, cheeks and forehead along with a few bumps here and there. I need something that is adequate to cover the redness but doesn’t go oily by the afternoon. Also nothing that will irritate my skin, some foundations I have tried make it feel like it is sunburnt after an hour. Thank you 😊

You need a green colour corrector. Dab it on with a make up sponge. I find the harder ones better than liquids. Then the BB cream or foundation.

That said the Medik 8 rosacea treatment gets good reviews.

Double wear, I doubt you'll need a separate concealer.

I blush easily and use Clinique anti redness foundation followed by bare minerals loose powder, seems to work quite well.

Thank you, unfortunately I’ve tried double wear and even though I could do with that level of coverage it just clogs on my face. I think because it’s quite lumpy (my face, not the foundation). I might see if I can get a sample of the Clinique and try bare minerals powder too.
I like the idea of a hard green colour corrector rather than liquid, I’ll give that a google.

Lancome Teinte Idole Ultra Wear (not the nude one) and Long lasting concealer
Make sure you wear sunblock every day even when it's not sunny as that seems to help too

I'd second Clinique redness solutions. Been using it for years and it's fantastic. (Sadly also quite expensive. I'd love to find a dupe but haven't been able to so far.)

Nars natural radiant foundation, tarte shape tape concealer

I have found bare minerals to be fantastic. Get someone to apply it for you to show you how in a store. The first time I tried it, it was like magic for my face.
It's important to start with a moisturizer that suits your skin and a primer.
I didn't like the bare minerals silicone type primer; made me itch. I use Autograph hydrating confidence boost from M&S.

Vichy Dermablend corrective fluid and concealer is fabulous.

You have to try It Cosmetics CC Cream!
You can use it as a base and a concealer I find and it’s light and glowy but still REALLY covers all redness. You can now get it in Boots as well as online - it’s been a game changer for me.

Hi there! This isn't a foundation recommendation but hoped it might be useful anyway. I also suffer from rosacea and have found a supplement by Skin Accumax called 'Advanced Nutrition Program' to be amazing for helping to calm it down. It's highly recommended. Xx

Another recommendation for getting rid of the rosacea is Tropics skincare - my best friend's skin has improved dramatically since she started using it. Ive seen the difference myself!

Ask your gp for soolantra, it worked for me permanently

ilovebruuuceandbags · 30/06/2019 10:17

I have roseacea and have found the best combo for me is Clinique Even Better Foundation with Benefit Boi-ing concealer. I honesty dread the day that Benefit stop selling that concealer, haven't found anything that covers it so well.

hellsbells99 · 30/06/2019 10:25

This isn’t a foundation, but following on from recommendations on mumsnet several weeks ago, I bought this from Amazon:
The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane
Even my DH commented yesterday on how good my skin is looking.
My nose is normally red and bumpy and often peeling, plus redness and spots around my chin. But this stuff (which is oily so you would think would have the opposite effect) has really cleared things up.
Now I am reading the rest of this thread with interest as I do need new foundation

teta · 30/06/2019 15:39

Kalme Chameleon concealer and Clinique foundation.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 30/06/2019 15:52

Primark matte foundation in square glass bottle- like double wear in terms of coverage but without the clagginess. Good range of shades too.
