Can I use these 2 products together ?

Bought some Sarah Chapman Age Repair Serum with the intention of using morning and evening and some Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules to use every other evening . When the Sc product arrived I realised it contains retinyl palmitate. Can I use both together in the evenings or will that be too much retinol ?

Any skincare gurus able to advise ? Bit gutted as obviously neither product is cheap but I guess I could save one to use when the other runs out.

I wouldn't double up on retinol products. Retinol can be quite a tricky thing to balance. Too much and your skin starts flaking and peeling. Doubling up is definitely not a good idea. You could alternate evenings.

Thanks for reply , as I suspected - how annoying nowhere on the packaging does the SC product say it's a retinol product and they suggest using day and night with no warning about using spf. Would t have bought it if I'd known.
