Self tanning drops

Any recommendations for these? I had the Clarins version a few summers ago and loved them but I know a lot of brands do them now. I found them great as I'm very pale and could adjust the strength to suit myself.

I would always use the Clarins ones, they're fab.

HundredMilesAnHour · 28/06/2019 13:18

I'm about (in the next 15 mins) to try Superdrug's B version. Will keep you posted. Hope I don't end up looking like I've been tangoed.

I've used Clarins drops in the past and I liked them but I preferred the Lancome Flash Bronzer fake tan range. Sadly Lancome seem to have stopped/be stopping the range (why Lancome, just why??!) so I'm back 'on the market'. Due to budget cuts, I'm starting with Superdrug as they're not expensive and I've been very impressed with their own brand skincare.

Following with interest re: the Superdrug drops!

babysnowman · 28/06/2019 13:30

Tan luxe drops are good

BoogieNites · 28/06/2019 13:38

Clarins are the best!

BoudiccaKate · 28/06/2019 16:27

I used tropic skincare and loved it. Not least as they're vegan friendly and all the products are so pure

So my first thoughts on my test with the Superdrug drops. It's been around 4 hours since I used them and my face does look like it has more of a golden glow to it (rather than the deathly white colour it was before). I don't think I'm imagining it. So far I'm pleased! Definitely a better result than I had with the Clarins drops (and the Superdrug ones are much cheaper at only £9.99 and less fiddly).

I've also ordered online some Dr Sebagh tanning drops. They get good reviews and I'm a huge fan of Dr Sebagh skincare (when I can afford it). The drops weren't as expensive as I thought they would be (£35 for 20ml) especially when you consider that if you order direct from the Dr Sebagh website, you get another 20ml worth of travel sizes of the tanning drops for free (so they work out slightly cheaper than the Clarins ones if you include the freebies). And postage is free too.

I've not heard of self tanning drops before...
so, how do they work?

SpeckledyHen · 28/06/2019 18:33

Red they are diluted in any body lotion and applied as normal.
I like Clarins as there is no nasty smell .

pinkground202 · 28/06/2019 18:54

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

That's interesting @HundredMilesAnHour, thanks for the feedback on the Superdrug ones.

It's tempting to just go back to Clarins, I read somewhere that people buy the larger size bottle that's meant for the body as it's much better value. I can't imagine there's much difference, has anyone tried it out?

I’ve been using Isle of Paradise for a while. The light in spring, now upped to medium of summer. Can be very subtle with either strength, or can whack in more drops for a more toasty appearance!

Really rate them, no orange, no smell of biscuits, no streaking. And I’ve used ALL the fake tans over the years.

MrsJamieFraser2 · 28/06/2019 20:00

@pinkground202 I've used the body one on my face. I'm sure it's just clever marketing as there was no difference!

ilikepurple · 28/06/2019 20:08

I'm totally ignorant here but what are drops, do you swallow them or what?

SandraOhshair · 28/06/2019 20:12

I love the Clarins face ones. Hadn't realised they did a body version.

Greenteandchives · 28/06/2019 20:17

ilike they come in a small bottle and you add drops to your body lotion, so you can choose what depth of tan you want. Clarinet do facial ones as well that you add to your moisturiser.

EdWinchester · 28/06/2019 20:22

Love the Clarins drops - on my 2nd bottle.
