Can anyone find a long pendant necklace?

I've been lo for a long pendant necklace with a semi-precious stone but can't find one I like in the UK.

I'd prefer a blueish or grey stone, probably lighter than the one below, and a gold chain (preferably gold vermeil).

I have looked at John Lewis, missoma, Mónica Vinander, Etdy and lots of others I can't remember now.

I like www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/kendra-scott-inez-14ct-gold-plated-and-veined-turquoise-necklace_5276-10236-N10574/?previewAttribute=Bronze%20veined%20turquo this

one but it's I'd prefer a soft colour stone and I'm not sure the gold plating would last at all.

Budget £50-100

Oliver Bonas and The White Company might have something.

Zoeputthatdown · 28/06/2019 10:23

I've seen nice pieces by a company called Mirabelle sold in the V&A shop.

margaritasbythesea · 28/06/2019 10:41

Thanks. I shall have a look at those.

You could buy the components separately and have them assembled by a jeweller. I used to make jewellery this way but assembled them myself, (you have to have quite a lot of kit) but no longer have the kit or time! Look online at bead shops and suppliers.

margaritasbythesea · 28/06/2019 13:02

Oh my goodness! I might fall in to that website and not be able to get out! even if I don't decide to get a necklace made that way, thank you for the site!

Have a look on carrieelizabeth.co.uk her jewellery is beautiful and exactly what you've described

readitandwept · 28/06/2019 18:06

I saw this on Not on the High Street, but couldn't link from the app, so have gone to the site of the seller. Maybe something on there.

Check out the Alan Ardiff website. I think one of his pendants has a very pale blue stone.
Or Juvi Jewellery.

beanaseireann · 28/06/2019 20:29

Oops - Juvi Designs

Check eBay & include 'druzy' in your search

margaritasbythesea · 28/06/2019 23:49

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm going to have a lovely time looking through those.

I've seen the word druzy crop up and I've googled it but I'm still very unclear about what it means but at least I now know it doesn't mean 'fake'.

I love a druzy necklace and have bought quite a few over the years. My go-to for this is AliExpress. Exactly the same or even nicer stuff and much more choice than on eBay, etsy, etc, but at a fraction of the price. As a previous poster said, search for 'natural druzy pendant' / 'natural druzy pendant necklace' / 'natural geode pendant' / 'natural agate pendant' and you will get thousands of results in all different shapes, sizes and colours.

I like the pendants on a really long chain and am quite tall, so usually prefer to buy the pendant and chain separately so I can get an extra long one. I've often order lots of 3 / 5 / 10 pendants and chains (usually still cheaper than buying a single necklace from a UK site) and the necklaces make great inexpensive presents for friends and family.

Don't be scared of ordering from China. I've never had a bad experience, you just need a bit of patience. Most things arrive within two to four weeks and I've only ever had one (inexpensive) order go missing (which I was refunded for pretty quickly).

For something a slightly different shape; wanderlustlife.co.uk/collections/jewellery/products/talisman-gold-chain-necklace-iridescent-labradorite

The chain might not be as long as you want but in my experience the customer service is brilliant and they are able to do custom orders.

Thanks for all these suggestions. I haven't chosen anything yet, but I like a lot of them and am enjoying looking.
