Not happy with bra intervention

I finally went and got measured at Bravissimo recently and came out with an FF bra instead of the M&S C I'd guessed myself as years ago. I've got a big event coming up and needed a good bra. Only thing is, the new bra makes my boobs look really matronly - too spread out height-wise and a bit flat if that makes sense! I was pretty surprised to come out as an FF as I'm quite saggy and not particularly full, but have a wide back. Can anyone recommend a good push up bra? I want my boobs to go up and outwards more. I've got a V-neck dress so thought plunge would be good and got a Bravissimo Niya, but it just feels frumpy!

Bravissimo satine

Thank you! Worth a try... I've found myself down a rabbit hole of looking at pics of bras online. Also reading a blog post that suggests whether your boobs are soft or firm can affect how they sit in a bra as well. I'm looking for something that will lift them well above my stomach so that I have a more clearly defined waist in my dress

Vertical seam lines = up the satine has one

Ones like the Cleo Marcie push up quite a lot. But for a v neck I think the tango plunge is a nicer shape

I wear satine most days and have for years. But you prob need to go back to bravissimo and try a few. Freya are pretty good.

I really like Triumph Magic Wire bras - they have a silicone wire and although they're soft cupped t-shirt bras I think they give me an amazing shape! I'm a 36E. You can get them on amazon.

Also good are Chantelle. They're a french brand so watch their sizing (I think they have ee instead of f) but they are very well-made, firm bras that give a good shape. Underwired and seamed and typically made of quite firm fabric, but still.sexy

Bravissimo sizing is famously weird. I have had some very ill-fitting bras from there. Good luck!

Freya deco bra is always a winner for me personally. I can’t have my underwires come up too high at the front or they rub. I hate the full bra look (like the one you describe) and always go for a balcony style bra as I find it much more flattering with big boobs. Sports bras are different as you do need that full cover and hold for support but day to day I’m not a fan.

Just to say thank you so much for the recommendations. I went back to Bravissimo and they brought me a selection to try - including lots of the ones mentioned above. I now have a Cleo Marcie (won't work under the dress in question but I love it anyway and feel fab in it so am keeping it), a Freya Deco, Satine and Gossard Superboost. Going to try them with the dress and see what works. I also went down a cup size and that seems much better. I was thinking I might be doomed to matronly bras with my new bigger cups, so that was really reassuring.
