A gift under £30

It's my 40th birthday. Mum isn't rich and wants suggestions. I don't really need anything but any ideas for something lovely under £30 (not clothes but anything else welcome)

how about a set of lovely mugs? DH used to buy me these when we were broke and I love them. They come in gorgeous boxes too so it feels like a really luxurious present but not expensive.

A citrus tree for the garden, a fancy candle, extravagant flowers, posh bubble bath, a lovely room spray. Something you don't really need but will enjoy.

Charlotte Tilbury lipstick, M&S scarf (cashmere perhaps or bold print), a massage (Groupon), manicure, bottle of bubbly or gin, posh chocs.

Sterling silver jewellery. Something that will make you smile when you wear it.

I love the idea of a tree for the garden. My DBro bought me a bay tree for my 40th and it's still going strong 15 years on.

A Neom candle. The 'real luxury' scent is absolutely gorgeous!
