Coach saddle bag or similar

Hi I'm looking for a tan saddle bag. I love the coach one that is in the sale for £197, but is out of stock, has anyone seen it elsewhere or a similar quality elsewhere, for under £200

I saw one at Russel and Bromley, it was nice but textured which you may not like, it’s probably worth checking brand alley for other ideas but the coach bag you want might turn up, they have it in black for £157, stock can change day by day, it’s also possible coach might get a return on the colour you want.

I’m not 100% sure but I think John Lewis might stock Coach? It’s worth a look there as they match sale prices. Otherwise I see loads of Coach bags on the Outnet for great prices so it’s worth keeping an eye there - you might not get the exact one but you might find a previous style that’s very similar.

There's still one left in stock.

LizzieMacQueen · 27/06/2019 15:48

I got one a couple of years ago, same style different colour. I ended up sending it back because it had a very slight scratch on it and I was worried it'd scratch really easily.

It's a really soft leather.

Kaz2200 · 27/06/2019 16:11

That's a shame about the leather, any other brands to recommend?

Loads of sales on Kate Spade, Osprey, Aspinall if you have a couple of hundred to spare. What brands do you like? Brand Alley have an MK tan saddlebag but it’s a bit overbranded but some people don’t mind that.

Ridley have one called Artisan Road that might fit the bill.

No particular brand, and I've never spent that much on a bag before, I'm not really a bag person, but I have a cheap saddle bag that I use all the time. I'm not into MK as to me they don't really shout quality. I would like something that will last and get better with age.

Shoes aren't my thing so I'll leave that to you!

Kaz2200 · 27/06/2019 17:56

I've ordered it thank you.

Hi all receiving my new bag today, and having just read the post about the lady getting cake on her longchamp bag, I'm wondering if I should use anything to protect it before I use it.

Most important question, do you love it?! You could use a leather protector, must admit I never have though.

Kaz2200 · 01/07/2019 14:54

Not arrived yet, will update as soo. As it does.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 01/07/2019 15:17

Ah, I misread. The poor cake lady had the inside of her bag damaged didn’t she? I’ve had a leaky pen in anice bag, such a shame

Abra1de · 01/07/2019 15:19

Colonil cream or Pedage are good brands for handbag protection.

LoveLolo (online only) are very good on bag cleaning/protection/preservation. THey know a lot about it.

Kaz2200 · 01/07/2019 17:48

Just tracked my parcel not here until Friday ☹️

Just an update, received my bag last night, I 90% love it, its a vere nice size and colour, and I'm going to keep it. The only thing is, is that it is very stiff, I'm hoping that over time it will soften up.

OP posts:
LuxuryWoman2018 · 04/07/2019 17:12

I hope you get a lot of pleasure using it 😶

Ninkaninus · 06/07/2019 18:07

It will probably soften up, and with daily use it will also gain some character with marks, scuff and scratches. All adds to the charm!

I protect my bags with a collonil spray. I’ve also got a leather cream but I’ve never actually used it yet.
