that more than covers my bum, is not too clingy and has a sleeve, as in not sleeveless but not cap either. Seen anything?

Women's sports clothing is generally way shorter in the body than the men's equivalent. It's why I buy men's running shorts now, women's are basically hotpants.

I've noticed when races give you a t shirt, if they're unisex they're usually nice and long and bum-covering.

So my suggestion is a man's tech shirt!

anunseemlylovefordustin · 26/06/2019 20:28

I've got a couple of lovely long lightweight sports T-shirts from Next - mid thigh length, lightweight wicking material and decent short sleeves which are big enough for my arms. They're from the next sports range

Runningonempty84 · 26/06/2019 20:31

Decathlon. Some of their T shirts are longer than my shorts (and I'm 5ft 6). Why do you want one that covers your bum though? It'll make it more difficult to run properly, surely?

BikeRunSki · 26/06/2019 20:36

Very long, and comfortable for exercising in, despite not being technical fabric BAM infini-T bamboo t shirt. I have it in several colours and 3 x in white!

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 26/06/2019 20:39

How on earth does a bum covering non clingy t shirt restrict the ability to run properly?

Runningonempty84 · 26/06/2019 20:43

Oooh, good call BikeRunSki. BAM stuff is great. I love their leggings.

And BettyBoo - depends how fast or how hard you're running I guess. But if you're going for it, you certainly don't want extra fabric covering your bum, and getting in the way of your front leg moving forward.

HyggeHeart · 26/06/2019 20:45

I love these, feel like my bum is properly covered! but not sure if there is enough sleeve for you? tuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk/p/Active-Black-Key-Hole-Back-Top/134492320-Black

I buy men's tops from TKMAX, most women's tops seem to be so fitted.
I want to get a breeze on my body when I run to help keep me cool in the summer, and I don't wear body-con tops when I'm not exercising, so don't really want to when I am.

For me anyway

Fairylea · 27/06/2019 07:33

Definitely men’s tops. I buy cheap huge men’s T shirts from H and M to exercise in.

AuntieStella · 27/06/2019 07:45

You might want to post this in the Exercise topic as well.

My suggestion wouid be to get a cycling top (try Decathlon) as they are cut longer and back hem dips for better bum coverage

"How on earth does a bum covering non clingy t shirt restrict the ability to run properly?"

Depends how long you run for - bum covering should make no difference, but non-clingy just sounds like chafing hazard to me

I saw some really long sports type tops in Tesco the other day, may be worth a look.

Runningonempty84 · 27/06/2019 09:01

Ihavealoobrush I find what's good for that is double-layer shorts. So a short which is like cycling shorts underneath, and baggier shorts over the top.
My best ones are Ronhill, but Decathlon do good quality cheaper versions. Like these:

They won't ride up and show your bum like a long vest will, either.

Good call on the cycling vest too, AuntieStella. Cycling vests also often have handy back pockets for gels. Not that you'd want gels bouncing around your bum for too long.

AuntieStella · 27/06/2019 09:14

Also, I have never seen a cycling too with cap sleeves. They're either proper sleeveless, proper short sleeve or longer sleeve
