Hair straightening advice please

A combination of the weird weather (ie wet/humid & warm/sweaty) makes the hair around my face turn wavy, kinky and frizzy, but the rest of my hair stays perfectly straight.

I have tried using conditioning treatments/serums, giving the area extra passes with my hair straighteners and using lots of hairspray, but have had no luck! The hair around my face still gets really wavy from root to tips whilst I’m on my way to work Sad

Any advice? I’m actually considering buying another pair of hair straighteners to keep at work, it looks that bad!

I have this on days when I haven’t fully blow dried my hair. I think it’s the hair reacting with the heat from my face. I go over with straighteners about half an hour after drying to let it ‘settle’ if I’ve got time.

@PETRONELLAS you have a really good point actually, I washed my hair before bed last night and noticed that my hair does stay straight-er with day 2 hair

I have this same problem. I tend to clip my hair up away from my face for my commute and let it down when I get to work. It works a treat, just keeps the hair from getting hot and sweaty

@clucky3 I’ll have to try that, thanks!

My hair was cooperative today. I drunk lots of water before I left the house to avoid getting hot/dehydrated. Also used more moisturising styling products instead of drying hairspray, which worked better.

I bought a wireless(!) mini hair straightener from amazon that apparently is perfect for on the go touch ups. Will try it tonight and see if it’s as convenient as it sounds!
