To regret haircut 😭

This is probably just a moan post, more then for help!
I have always struggled to grow my hair past my collar, its so thick and grows really quickly.
Well I managed to grow it probably the furthest I have done for a long time, but it just looked so out of shape.
I went the hairdressers last night and asked for her to keep it longer at the front, but go shorter at the back, she has cut it the same length all the way round 😭 I hate it!!! Its probably now below my ears. Grrrr, why did I do it!!

Bless you, we've all been there. It won't seem so bad in a couple of days once you've got used to it. If it helps, these things matter to us more than to other people

I can definitely relate to this feeling!

However I bet it looks lovely and healthy now, meaning it will hopefully look even nicer when it grows out again. Also other people will just assume that you wanted your hair this way, they wont know that you’re uncomfortable or don’t like it, you won’t look ‘off’ to other people at all,

I absolutely would, and funnily enough have done in the past.

They will probably offer to cut your hair again, but you can refuse that and see what they can do for you: eg a free treatment, free cut next time, refund etc. I would really emphasise that they didn’t listen to what you wanted, you explained that you were trying to grow it out etc.

I had my hair cut three years ago and hated it...it’s now one length and pretty boring but, long because I dare not have a hairdresser botch it again. I go for an inch off every six months.

What I’m saying is, it’ll grow. Seek another hairdresser when it’s grown.

£70 for a bad hair cut ?
Why didn't you make them get it right before you paid ?

MissKitty is right, ask around your friends and colleagues, whose hair do you like ? Then find out where they go

Thanks everyone, I did complain and the owner has shaped it abit better for me, still obviously not what I wanted, but it will grow. Also gave me two cut and blows for free for the next couple of times.
