How to clean scuff/light grime marks on white canvas plimsolls?

Give me your tips!!!

They’re only a cheapy pair but I would like them to look fresh.

Last year I washed similar ones in the machine and they came up lovely and white but did get a bit battered plus after a couple of washes the stitching began to suffer etc.

Are there Stain removers for trainers, maybe?

Any info appreciated!

There used to be white, liquid, chalky stuff in a bottle with a sponge tip for this.

No idea if that would suit your requirements, but it takes me back Smile

A rubber sometimes works

The pink stuff cleaner is fab for this, cheap but really works! Also the magic eraser sponges are great on rubber.

Top tip- don’t apply it when your feet are still in trainers as I often did as a child!

I read that as the rubber on the plimsoles, ignore last post, as will only work on the rubber parts.

For the canvas, if it’s all white then steep it in bleach solution before washing in the machine.

I second the pink stuff with a gently scourer. My vans came up like brand new and they were full scuffs and dirt

Thanks everyone!

Yep it’s the canvas that’s grubby rather than the rubber.

Will try the Kiwi!

For the white rubber role I use cif cream cleaner. It removes all the black scuff marks
