A cool rose longlasting lipstick

I am in my late 40s (very late 40s) and something's changed because my usual lipstick no longer suits me. It looks darker and harsher, more toffee than pinky/mauve which is what I think suits me. Can someone recommend a long lasting pink lipstick please?

I’d go to Mac and look at the range of matt lipsticks they have as they last really well. Their Faux lipstick isn’t Matt, it’s a bit creamier but colour wise it’s exactly what you’ve described on me, “my lips but better” in a world where ‘cult’ lippies like pillow talk (CT) and velvet teddy (MAC) are too brown on me.
I also like Mac Really Me which is a matt finish but it’s much paler, albeit super cool toned.

MAC Brave or Mehr are pink on me

Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution might be worth a look. Or Kidman's Kiss I think is more moisturising.

Mac Brave is pretty good. Very neutral on the pink side, iykwim.

Syrup is a nice colour but has shit staying power. Lasts all of 2 seconds.

Laura Mercier lipstick is really good. I have one called Dulce de leche which looks toffee coloured on the stick but on my mouth is very pink. Extremely long lasting.

Lipstick Queen ?

A cheap one to try is a Primark Lustre one, shade Rosewood Mauve. Lovely pinky red colour, I usually apply once in the morning and again at lunch time.

It's only 90p so no harm done if you don't like it!

Try them on. MAC Faux to me isn't a cool rose...

I hate to say it because I think her stuff is generally overpriced - but Charlotte Tilbury may have what you're after, or Laura Mercier, NARS or Bobbi Brown.

championquartz - agreed re Syrup's dire staying power! So can I recommend Cosmo instead which is a similar colour but has more staying power.

Mac Faux is my MLBB perfect shade but wouldn't really describe it as rose.

Funny how we’re all different. Faux is a dull, ever so slightly ill colour on me. Beautiful on you @Soola.

Funny enough I couldn’t wear beiges and pale nudes when I was a young woman, I looked drained. Now I’m an old git I can wear any shade as long as it isn’t a dark copper.
