Very lightweight suncream for a sweaty face

Any recommendations? They all seem to block my pores, trap the heat in and make me sweat within seconds. Have tried the major sun brands like Boots and La Roche Posay after a recommendation last year, with terrible results.

Biore?

whitershadeofpale · 25/06/2019 00:37

I’d say Biore watery essence too. It’s great and very light.

GenerationPolaroid · 25/06/2019 06:41

Yes, Biore watery essence too. Great as a primer too.

MilkLady02 · 25/06/2019 06:46

I use the Hawaiian tropics sun cream for face. It’s light and goes on like a moisturiser and not ridiculously expensive either.

darceybussell · 25/06/2019 07:04

Could you use a bb cream instead? they often have a decent spf in them

ReallyRatherBlonde · 25/06/2019 07:06

Nivea do a 50+ spf face mousse which is nice and light, more just like a moisturiser. Its about £5

barney11 · 25/06/2019 09:36

Thank you! I have ordered the Biore and will work my way down the list if that doesn't work for me. I'm a complete novice, what is a bb cream? I don't understand the difference between bb cream, cc cream and tinted moisturiser!

I see you've already ordered the Biore one, but if it doesn't work out, have a look at this one www.superdrug.com/La-Roche-Posay/La-Roche-Posay-Anthelios-Ultra-Light-Fluid-N-C-Skin-SPF-50/p/714769

Superb - very light and works well on my oily skin

barney11 · 25/06/2019 16:39

Thank you. That's actually the one I tried most recently and it still seems to sit like a suffocating film on my skin! So many people recommend it but I think I must have odd skin.

I really like the biore one, hope it works for you. Another one to try is altruist.

wizzywig · 25/06/2019 16:56

Body shop have a face spray spf. Ive never tried it though

clucky3 · 25/06/2019 17:00

I am like you OP, the la Roche posay is recommended by so many people for my skin type but it just feels horrible to me. I ordered the biore last week but it hasn't arrived yet. I also like the body shop's SPF50 and the ultrasun face is good too

ReturnofSaturn · 25/06/2019 17:01

I've been using this on my face. It's a 'dry-touch' formula. It's pretty good and sinks in quite quickly too.

Where is everyone getting this Biore from?

whitershadeofpale · 25/06/2019 20:25

I got mine from Amazon. YESSTYLE is good too. They take s while to come though.

HannahGMumsnet · 28/06/2019 11:52

Hello everyone - in case it helps, we have a round-up of sweat-proof SPFs Mumsnetters have recommended over the last few months which may just help you choose.

barney11 · 28/06/2019 12:26

Thanks! Will take a look

I bought the LRP one ,dear God it was awful imo. Can't believe so many people like it.

Every sun cream makes my face itch,so I've taken to wearing a wide brimmed hat and staying in the shade.

Chillichutney1 · 28/06/2019 16:49

I have oily skin and have tried Biore - the watery essence is amazing and so light you won’t feel it, but it did make my skin oilier for some reason. I would recommend biore uv face milk.it mattifies the skin and acts as a brilliant primer. Neither are expensive so we’ll worth trying them both

Laquila · 28/06/2019 20:04

The Bioré Watery Essence is just the greatest thing ever.

GeorgeTheFirst · 28/06/2019 20:05

I hated anthelios too, used it up an my neck and chest as couldn't stand it on my face.
