Recommendations for hair products for greasy roots

I'm beginning to think that there is no product out there for my hair. I have greasy roots but the rest of my hair is flyaway.

I wash my hair every other morning BUT by the end of the second day it feels horrid.

I've tried so many shampoos and conditioners but to no avail. I'm happy to continue washing hair every other day as I love the feeling of freshness but would prefer it to stay cleaner longer!!

Would love some recommendations please.

Dry shampoo? I use Pro voke touch of silver for blondes which is really light and nice. My hair is in much better condition since I stopped washing everyday

I'm liking Charles Worthington Micellar shampoo at the moment, with his clay conditioner (I think) which is for oily roots/dry ends so I'm guessing there's a shampoo in that range too.

Superdrug hair clay is good for this. I rub a tiny bit, about 1/2 a pea, on my fingers, then rub into roots from underneath all over before I dry it.

It gives a tiny bit of lift, but mostly it means I can go 2-3 days between washes rather than having to wash everyday due to roots. It’s really cheap, lasts ages and is nearly always on offer.

this one

Try just applying conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair, not to the roots. My hair sounds similar to yours and I've found this does help.

I'm the same, op. Im watching with interest. The root clay looks worth a try,

I try not to brush my hair because my roots go instantly greasy. I also used a clarifying shampoo and that helped for a while, I used the Aldi one in a big grey bottle, it's pretty good.

Thank you all for the great suggestions.

@KungFuFriday - I do that already and it doesn't make a difference unfortunately.

Will definitely look in to the hair clay.

Thanks again.

I know you’ve most likely tried it but the L’Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Clay rebalancing shampoo and conditioner are the only things that help my greasy hair. If I use them on day 1 my hair is gorgeous and sometimes I can get by day 2 without any dry shampoo (or just use a bit around my hairline). Nothing else really compares to it for me
