Another 'is this a nice dress'

DD's graduation and then dinner in a smart London restaurant. I'm 5'9, size 14, thick middle, small bust, good legs.
My heart says chic & a bit stylish, my head says 'middle aged cruise'.
Happy to be told I'm way off mark.
I have some great navy shoes.

L K Bennet is usually excellent for the style of dress you're after.

Not a cruise dress, just be aware that Phase 8 is the go to for lots of mums at graduation so you may not be the only one wearing it.

NEtoN10 · 24/06/2019 22:53

I think it's lovely!

Loopytiles · 24/06/2019 22:53

Nice, hope it fits and suits you!

Wineloffa · 24/06/2019 22:55

Love it!

The dress hangs well, looks good on just about everyone ive seen in it and the material is of good quality

Keep the tag in and the receipt until you wear it as they will usually refund the difference in price if it goes in the sale up to the 28 days return

badg3r · 24/06/2019 23:58

I have never been on a cruise but I think it is lovely! 😉

BirthdayDreamer · 25/06/2019 20:18

I like it (and I also have a horror of veering into cruise wear category so I hear you on that one!) but I don't think it's cruise-y, I think it's chic/formal enough yet summery and the hemline and bold colours make it punchy.

If you are tall with good arms and legs you will look fab in that. Smaller or rounder women might look a bit mumsy in it.

PinkPeonyPlease · 28/06/2019 18:06

Reporting back.
Sadly it's not one for me. I'm a small size 14 and it's very tight on the tummy and bum and oddly loose on the top.

A great length us tall ones though.

Shame it wasn’t any good- hope you find something else.
