It’s for a hen do.

What do you think of this top/what would you pair with it?

I'll be honest, on its own it doesn't look that nice, but now I've seen you in it I've changed my mind. You look lovely! The neckline really suits you.

Hoppinggreen · 24/06/2019 10:47

Do you feel good in it OP?
Personally I don’t like it but you would probably not like some things I wear either. It’s not point and stare awful or anything it’s just not something I would choose so if you like it then wear it and have a great time

LouiseEH · 24/06/2019 11:00

I do like it as it covers the part of my arms I hate most, it’s not too tight but also not too baggy.

I don’t feel really confident it but it doesn’t make me feel like a fat whale trying too hard either.

And thank you to those who said I look nice ☺️😳

I would suggest a higher heel OR a lower cut shoe...not that bootie style. A different shoe will lengthen and slim your leg.

BelulahBlanca · 24/06/2019 11:05

Looks much nice on, I’d go for more glam shoes. Is it £25 to complete the outfit OP?

LouiseEH · 24/06/2019 11:09

Yes, I have £25 (£30 at a push) to complete the outfit

You look gorgeous, but if you can, get some sandals, flatform espadrilles are useful in the day too. black and covered up all the way down screams don’t look at me!
I think you should definitely buy the warehouse dress too though, because that would make you feel less concerned about your body issues everyday.

BenWillbondsPants · 24/06/2019 11:28

I think you look lovely OP, have a great time.

HennyPennyHorror · 24/06/2019 11:32

New Look have affordable and glam high heels OP.

BubblesBuddy · 24/06/2019 11:38

I don’t wish to upset you, but I would wear a bra with any outfit you choose. Any slightly glamorous top would do but make sure you look the best you can. There are lots of sales and Zara has some bargains in satin type fabrics for under £25. Floral for summer would be my choice. You would wear them again too! 14-16 needs a large so Zara would be in budget and on trend and in the sale!

LouiseEH · 24/06/2019 11:55

@BubblesBuddy I am wearing a bra 😳 but I will look at Zara

I will definitely look into other shoe options too so thank you to everyones suggestions.

I think it's nice. I would add a bit of colour if you can, maybe some red drop earings and put your hair up.

TigerJoy · 24/06/2019 12:14

You look fab! The top really suits you and looks much better on.

I'd wear some sparkly gold shoes (I'd probably wear ballet slippers as I can't stand heels) and some statement dangly earrings either in gold or a colour like green. You can probably find both for £25 in Primark - they generally have some great earrings.

Have a great time!

Coronapop · 24/06/2019 12:21

Outfit looks fine to me, top looks much better on than in the first photo.

Lipz · 24/06/2019 12:27

You look fab in it. You have a fabulous figure, no lumps and bumps. Are they leggings you have on or tights ? I think if it were me I'd opt for a trouser and nice high sandals.

ThatCurlyGirl · 24/06/2019 13:51

Agree with PPs even though we can only see a little of your face I was like wow she is so pretty! Smile

havefundontworry · 24/06/2019 14:16

Oh louiseEH I so remember agonising like this back when I had very little money and felt self conscious in certain clothing. When I saw the pics of you, I thought you looked lovely in the top. I'm sure others will suggest great shoes to wear with it. I just wanted to say, the most important thing that will enhance your overall look is turning up with a big smile on your face, and having a great time!!!! You deserve a fun night (I remember when my child was a year old!). And you look lovely.

AquaPris · 24/06/2019 15:02

I'd wear a sparkly shoe which is more open and shows a little foot or ankle. I quite like the top

Llongyfarchiadau · 24/06/2019 16:52

The outfit looks lovely. I wouldn't bother buying new shoes like some have suggested; maybe wear your hair up and add some sparkly earrings or a bracelet. Save your money for something else.

Have a great time!

DramaAlpaca · 24/06/2019 17:03

Well, having seen the photo I take back what I said at the start of the thread. It looks so much better on, it suits you & you look lovely in it. Sorry for being snippy Blush Flowers

BirthdayDreamer · 25/06/2019 21:06

I like it on you. I think the shoeboots are absolutely fine (probably the perfect option actually, courts or heeled shoes etc too formal with that dress and tights, ankle boots too clumpy/casual). If you can borrow a silver bangle or two and a silver small crossbody bag (again less formal than a clutch and the cross body diagonal strap is usually flattering) then all the better.

Have fun. You look great.

managedmis · 25/06/2019 21:34

You look fab

chuckyeggtimestwo · 25/06/2019 21:40

Op - you look very young and pretty! Take no notice of the meanies on here slating the top! It looks absolutely fine for a night out. It’s not something I would wear myself because that length isnt flattering on me but if my friend turned up wearing this id think they looked good.
