Am I too fat for this dress?

As title. Fairly sure I am, plus not sure I'm brave enough to pull off the colour but I would love to be able to wear it (bought for me- I would never even look at this in a shop)

Excuse crap photo, only full length mirror in the house

I don't think you are too fat for it but it's not the most flattering style for you. If you like it wear it is my view but the fact that you are asking us suggests to me that you think maybe it's not right for you.

doodleygirl · 23/06/2019 19:57

Yes, you can find something much nicer which flatters you

RonaldMcDonald · 23/06/2019 20:00

I think it is all wrong on you. I hope you show us some other dresses. This is a no on all levels
What about this

Makemeaname · 23/06/2019 20:00

I bought this dress recently which I love (although not worn in public yet). Is this a more flattering style on m3? Also black so less in your fac3.

The colour's lovely but I think you need a size bigger and to be sure that you can sit comfortably in it without it riding up.

Nanalisa60 · 23/06/2019 20:01

Wear some spandex pants under it!! Love the colour

Moonflower12 · 23/06/2019 20:02

You look so good in the 2nd dress. Much more flattering.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 23/06/2019 20:05

A petticoat would help the fall of the dress, iyswim. I love petticoats to hide my baby apron...

ConfCall · 23/06/2019 20:06

I prefer the second one, but I think that the first one would look a lot better with different underwear. The first one is a super colour too, for those who suit it (which I assume you do).

cranstonmanor · 23/06/2019 20:07

Really like the second dress, this shape suits you.

Keep a look out for this shape in that color red, it was a lovely color.

Xyzzzzz · 23/06/2019 20:16

2nd dress looks better but I prefer the colour of the 1st. As suggested maybe look for something in that shape but the red colour.

Also the pictures taken were different try both on with the same style picture and see how you look then

YourSarcasmIsDripping · 23/06/2019 20:25

I wouldn't wear the first one and I'm a similar shape and size.

Love the second one, where is it from?

Bluntness100 · 23/06/2019 20:28

I think the second one is quite frumpy and dull

The first dress is lovely you just need to size up

Makemeaname · 23/06/2019 20:28

@sarcasm second is Dorothy Perkins curve range - was only a tenner and i should get plenty of use out of it.

Glad no-one said second was horrible as it's making its debut tomorrow.

Both dresses are lovely.
Wear them.

sheshootssheimplores · 23/06/2019 20:34

Yep, second one very flattering. I think tight clothing is tricky for many of us to pull off.

SpeckledyHen · 23/06/2019 20:35

Have a great graduation 👩‍🎓 OP :)

CastleGin · 23/06/2019 20:38

You are beautiful. I love the second dress. Sorry OP I'm afraid I'm not a fan of the first, it doesn't do your gorgeous curves any favours.

Fatkins · 23/06/2019 20:43

Second one is fab! You look a similar shape to me. I don't think the first dress makes the most of your assets. Definitely go with the second. I do like the red though.

Walnutwhipster · 23/06/2019 20:48

The second dress is far more flattering. I'd say no to the first one, sorry.

YadiYadiYada · 23/06/2019 20:48

The style of the 2nd is nicer. If I'm honest I think the 1st is a tad too short. But I do love the colour of the 1st. The black is so dull! Your skin tone suggests you could pull off a more vibrant colour imo. Jewel colours would suit you, including the red of the first.

With some decent shapewear, and a longer length, I do think you could also pull of something a little tighter. Maybe show a bit cleavage with a nice v or sweetheart neckline? Not in an overtly sexual way, but make the most of your fuller bust.

Beautiful3 · 23/06/2019 20:49

My daughter said that you look perfect in the red dress.

Teddybear45 · 23/06/2019 20:55

I agree you do look better in the red dress than the black.

WineIsMyCarb · 23/06/2019 20:57

Second dress is fab - makes you look loads slimmer.

Teacakeandalatte · 23/06/2019 21:03

If you are planning to lose weight as you said, I think the red would look nicer if you do. It looks a bit tight right now but the colour really suits you. Maybe save it for Christmas by which time you could have lost enough weight.
