Frumpy trainer ballet pumps/flats

I swear this used to be a thing and I saw quite a number of women sport this kind of shoe some years ago. I thought they were frumpy back then but now I think they're more functional and cool. I really want some nice ballet flats/pumps which have a reasonable sole like a trainer or the shoes from memory lane above. Any ideas what they might have been or if it was a specific brand?

Anyone remember this kind of shoe or have recommendations for ballet pumps/flats?

Through searching I think I've found some sort of breakthrough, I'm now looking at trainer Mary Janes and camper ballet flats. Still not exactly what I remember but on the right lines 😃

I have these...they are fitflop soles so super comfortable!!

At first I thought maybe I saw those shoes in Moshulu in Cornwall, but can't see anything very similar...might be worth a browse though.

I've had a quick look at Flitflop and the links and the shoes look fab. I also love Moshulu's website design, it's so cute. I'm going to keep exploring and see what I find on these sites.

The Sketchers GoWalk Lite is not quite what I have in mind (ballet flats not loafer style) but they do look good!

Hush puppies Jannessa? They had some lovely liberty prints a few years ago (fabric though) but there are also plain leather ones. Comfier than completely flat pumps but not trainer comfort.
